When it comes to pasta, Va Bene Pasta Deli should definitely be on top of your list. From its humble beginnings to now being hailed as one of the best Italian restaurants in the Philippines – Chef Massimo Veronesi, continuously grace the culinary scene with his consistent excellence in providing one of the most sought-after pasta in town.
To continue his legacy, he took on a new quest that would leave a lasting impression to all his forthcoming customers. Chef Massimo introduced this month, the longest bruschetta to ever be set on a restaurant’s menu. It will be available in 5 palatable flavors creatively made by the Chef himself. This new offer will come in two different sizes: one for 25cm called Normale, and one for 60cm long called Grande. Normale will be divided into two different flavors of your choice priced at Php 288, while the Grande can be enjoyed with 3 flavors, priced at Php 488.00.

Oh yes! This dish is named after a city in Italy that is known for its glamour and luxurious taste. The presentation of this dish alone is set to uplift your take on bruschettas on a whole new level. Covered by its main ingredient – the Salami Milano, drizzled with Olive Oil, Cheese Mousse, Arugula, Shaved Parmesan and Balsamic Reduction; I can honestly say that it is worth more than just a few tiny bites!
The perfect crust of grilled bread paired with chewy Parma Ham, mushroom and Mozzarella Cheese – this bruschetta is one of my favorites among the five. It has a lasting flavor that would make you want to savor for more.
This one is a combination that is well suited for its name. Piccante, that is derived from the word “Piquant“, which means having a pleasantly sharp taste or appetizing flavor. This bruschetta is smothered with the right amount of Garlic, Cheese Mousse, Polpette Ragu, and Chili Oil.
If you think you can’t pair truffles and bread – well this one will probably surprise you. Covered with Truffle Mayonnaise, Olive Oil, Arugula, Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio, and Shaved Grana Padano – Chef Massimo really knows how to work with flavors that could please your palate.
This one might not look as grandeur as the rest, but it does have a taste worth remembering. A bruschetta paired with Olive Oil, Gorgonzola, Mortadella, and Onions – I wouldn’t leave this out from the rest of the list!
In all honesty, the serving size of the bruschetta is already good on its own. I would say that the Normale size is enough to fill me up for the rest of the night, but I guess some of my friends could not resist asking for some of the most interesting pasta on Va Bene’s menu. So in addition to our Bruschetta adventure, we were lucky to be given a mouthful of some of their best-selling dishes highlighted below.
Black Ink Tagliolini
Seafood, Marinara Sauce, light tomato cream sauce – these are the main ingredients added to an already delicious black pasta. The abundance of seasoning from the sauce is a sure fire way to make you crave for more!
Ricotta, Egg yolk, chicken Jus, Parmesan Fondue, Truffle Oil – Once again graced with my favorite truffle on a creamy white sauce, this ravioli is something you should definitely try the next time you visit Va Bene at BGC, The Fort.
