Contrary to the introduction, thank the heavens, La Casetta de Britt, a fairly new Italian restaurant in the beautiful municipality of Taytay is actually of a brother-sister tandem.
Located inside a subdivision, La Casetta de Britt, even though it has just recently opened, is being well loved by many folks that homeowners even see it as an extension of their houses.
Also, with siblings being owners and the chefs of their restaurant themselves, truly people will no doubt feel at home, not only because the place speaks comfort and niceties, but also because the dishes are so good you would be feeling like you are at home and there are no judgy eyes looking at you even if you get three orders of their great pizzas!
To start, La Casetta de Britt has some tasty soup you could try such as the Zuppa Di Gamberoni (Php 120) which is a creamy shrimp soup that we really enjoyed. And if you feel like having more to start with, the Insalata di Mango (Php 185) is a hefty, yummy serving of fresh mango, walnuts, raisins, cherry tomatoes, and romaine lettuce in blue cheese dressing.
After that, go big with La Casetta de Britt’s Pepper Steak (Php 320) as this dish will not only have the meat lover in you satisfied, but happily satisfied. This one is a sumptuous plate of grilled thick juicy rib eye or tenderloin steak in their famous homemade pepper sauce.
And for when you feel like having some pasta, they have a bunch of pasta dishes as well that are a must-try, just like the Shrimp Alfredo (Php 235) which is fettuccine pasta with raw peeled and deveined shrimps, chardonnay, parmesan cheese, cooked in freshly creamy sauce, and served with homemade garlic bread, and the Spaghetti Paradiso (Php 195) which is spaghetti cooked in homemade Italian tomato and roasted bell pepper, together with pesto sauce topped with herb chicken breast and cherry tomato.
Of course, having chefs that love and enjoy what they do, plus also having one that worked for an Italian restaurant in Abu Dhabi for quite a long time, truly make a delicious impact on the food, especially onto their brick oven pizzas. If you are a total cheese lover, the Quattro Formaggi (4 cheese) (10 inches Php 380 | 14 inches Php 530) is of mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and you no doubt will love it.
Another pizza variant of theirs that is so worth every bite and is a bestseller is the Pizza di Briana (10 inches Php 370 | 14 inches Php 520). This one is actually named after Britt’s own daughter and is of mozzarella cheese, Italian beef sausage, ground beef, beef pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, onion, basil, oregano, green olives.
Meanwhile, the Chicken Barbeque Pizza (10 inches Php 360 | 14 inches Php 515) is such a crowd favorite which is no surprise because this one is of barbeque sauce, cooked chicken breast, shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded smoked gouda cheese, red onion, and fresh cilantro!
Having delectable delicacies and an ambiance that would make you feel at ease is not only what La Casetta de Britt is all about. They have some revitalizing and lip-smacking good fresh smoothies that would go well with any of their dishes, too.
The C-Power (Php 140) is a delectable, citrus-y, and sweet blend of mango, kiwi, strawberry, pineapple, and melon that will have you refreshed in no time and the Volta (Php 140) which is a crowd favorite, no wonder, is a delightful mishmash of banana, strawberry, melon, mango, milk, and honey! Undeniably, these drinks are the perf weapon for your battle against the blazing heat this summer!
La Casetta de Britt may be quite new to the food scene, but their dishes are really a must-try such as their other bestsellers which are the salmon, the steak, and the carbonara, especially that their offering won’t burn a hole in your bank account, let alone in your pocket.
With an intimate dining space that can hold up around 20 to 25 folks, La Casetta de Britt is living up to its name which translates to The Little House; but wait, hold up, as La Casetta de Britt actually is planning to expand their space in order to accommodate the growing number of diners each and every day. That being said, they still plan to keep their ambiance that is of comfort and intimacy for their dining guests to feel at home and cozy.
