There is no denying that Maginhawa in Quezon City is one of the first food strips that has made some noise and has attracted a lot of foodies into exploring more of their love, not only in different cuisines, but also in different dining concepts.
Speaking of dining places in Maginhawa with not just eating as a concept, Ludo Board Game Bar and Café has been established way back 2014 by a group of friends who has a hobby of playing board games. They wanted to bring and share their hobby out into the world, hence the birth of the first and the biggest collection of games in the country with 800 to 1000 types of games both for sale and for play.
The games they have are of different difficulty levels. They have light speed games, casual light games which are the games that get most played by customers as well as great for table-top games beginners, and the heavy games which are the complex ones that have many rules and mechanics, and would make the customers think more.
That being said, Ludo Board Game Bar and Café also has a great menu consisted of a bunch of different food that ranges from appetizers to heavy mains, even pastas, as well as a variance of refreshing drinks that would be your source of extra fuel to push through the day.
To start, have their Super Nachos (Php 295) which is a hefty serving of crunchy nacho chips topped with sour cream, aioli, salsa, and of course, tasty nacho cheese that would have you craving for more delectables!
Delving more into heavier choices, carb it up with a pasta of theirs. The Truffle Pasta (Php 320) is a plate of yummy noodles with fresh button mushrooms cooked in fresh cream and truffle sauce, served with garlic bread.
Next to that are their mains which are all served with miso soup. They have a bunch of delicacies which has some tender wagyu in them such as their Japanese Wagyu Cubes (Php 395) which are three sticks of grilled Japanese wagyu cubes served over Japanese fried rice, their Wagyu Korean Beef (Php 350) which is of thinly sliced wagyu beef topped with fresh vegetables, herbs, and poached egg served with kimchi and steamed rice, and their Wagyu Gyudon (Php 330) which is of thinly sliced wagyu beef simmered in their secret sauce served with steamed rice.
Other than those wagyu goodies, Ludo Board Game Bar and Café also has Southern-Style Fried Chicken (Php 280) which is a delicious serving of two pieces of crispy and succulent chicken served with steamed rice and home-made gravy.
All those savories will really have your palate salivating for something sweet, so better have a mouthful of their cakes such as the Ludo’s Decadent Chocolate Cake (Php 185) which is a slice of house-special chocolate caramel mousse cake served with vanilla ice cream.
Other than their cakes, if you want something of a dessert-in-a-glass kind of treat, you could grab some of their special non-alcoholic drinks like their Salted Caramel Milkshake (Php 245), their Triple Chocolate Chip Milkshake (Php 250), and their Strawberry Cheesecake Milkshake (Php 225).
Ludo Board Game Bar and Café is really more than just good food and fun games because the games they have are actually more than just entertainment or recreation. Their games are a lot of things – each of it is some kind of an intellectual stimulation, a workout for the mind – and if you get more into it, you will be able to learn a lot of things, learn to play the odds, learn to formulate strategies.
And so, if there are people who truly enjoy board games, do not hesitate and just come to Ludo Board Game Bar and Café because here you will find what you are looking for, you will get more interactive, and achieve that sense of fulfillment you have been longing for.
Also, know that usually, Ludo Board Game Bar and Café get to hold events, a tournament of some sort, just like the International Table Top Day which they participate in annually for 24 hours and people get to come here, play games with each other, eat great food, drink some refreshing drinks, and basically, just have fun!
