Tapella Bar and Restaurant boasts of authentic Spanish flavours that would ensure that you are feliz y contento, happy and contented, with every bite. The first dishes already hit the sweet spot of our palates, with the tender El De Carne (Angus Beef Skewers), the fresh and savoury Beef Carpaccio, and cult favourite Plato Iberico (Iberian Cold Cuts Platter) we had to exercise intense self-control to not stuff ourselves before the rest of the dishes came. Their Tuna Ceviche, one of their best-selling bar chows was also irresistibly good, it was wiped early in the feast.

We love how the almost everything we could be craving for can be found in the Tapella menu, from seafood, like the Chopitos Fritos (Deep Fried Baby Squid with Alioli) and Boquerones (Marinated Fresh Anchovies), to stews such as their flavourful Pote Gallego (vegetable stew with chorizo, pork and Galician Bean) and Callos Con Garbanzos (Stew made from Tripe and Chick Pea), almost every Spanish Dish that you could crave for is whipped in the Tapella kitchen.

A Spanish feast would not be complete without the All-Time Pinoy favourite paella. Their Paella Sobressada, made from superbly flavourful Spanish Chorizo and seasoned to perfection, quickly caught and never let go of our rice-loving hearts. And if it is possible to fall in love twice with the classic seafood paella, their Paella Marizco would definitely be the reason.

But the highlight of the day would probably be their Chuleton Villagodio, certified angus Beef prime Rib grilled Villagodio style. Each bite of this steak is definitely meat heaven, it’s got this deep fresh meaty flavour that you wouldn’t believe that salt is the only seasoning used on it. Chef JP of Tapella shared that the secret of their Chuleton is the special clay plate on which it is grilled. The plate has acquired the flavour of the countless number of steaks cooked on it that brings that special flavour that you would never find anywhere else.
