Anchor is a trusted household brand we’ve known over the years. Though its most popular products are butter and milk, we learned during #AWholeLotToLove event last month that Anchor is actually more than that.
Anchor is a brand owned and produced by Fonterra, a co-operative that is maintained by more than 10,000 farming families in New Zealand. Fonterra’s farming families are committed to the strictest standards of quality control. They are doing regular on-farm testing and independent farm and environmental assessments to give consumers nothing but quality and high-grade dairy products. These products include the following.

We were quite surprised that Anchor has cheese products available in the Philippines. It’s quite interesting to know that our trusted milk and butter brand is really committed to its goal of being the most trusted source of dairy nutrition in the world.
We were lucky enough to put Anchor products to taste test. Fonterra partnered with Single Origin in Rockwell to have some dishes cooked and prepared with Anchor products. Our verdict? Everything was so good. The flavor of every dishes was spot on.
Melba Toast with Garlic and Chives Butter with Anchor Salted Butter and Anchor Cheese Block. Can we just say that having this was the perfect way to start our 6-course lunch that day? The butter, as always, was creamy and the cheese and toast combination was just amazing.
Pumpkin and Cinnamon Soup with Anchor Culinary Cream. Hands down – one of the best pumpkin soups we’ve tried in a long time. It was creamy and has the right balance of everything savory and delicious.
Fish and Fries with Marinara Sauce with Anchor Grated Parmesan, Anchor Culinary Cream, and Anchor Unsalted Butter. This meal was heavy and actually good for two people. It has a generous serving of fish and the truffle fries with Parmesan made the combination all the more delicious.
FOUR CHEESE PIZZA
This pizza is made with Anchor Shredded Mozzarella, Anchor Shredded Cheddar, and Anchor Grated Parmesan. If you love cheese, then you will definitely like this – like we truly did! We loved the crust as it’s not too toasted. The toppings were generous and every bite was just pure bliss.
White Truffle Pasta with Anchor Culinary Cream, Anchor Grated Parmesan, and Anchor Unsalted Butter. We truly loved this dish as we’re a huge fan of truffle! The cream was just spot on!
Mango Caramel Grand Marnier with Anchor Whipping Cream and Anchor Unsalted Butter. Of course, a good dessert to finish a good meal. To be honest, we love Anchor’s whipping cream as it does not taste bland, it has a pretty nice taste perfect to partner with every sweet treat. It’s not cloying, so we enjoyed it very much.
Overall, we truly enjoyed everything we had during the event. Though most of it are made with dairy products, we are confident as Anchor products are from cows that are grass-fed all year round in New Zealand. This ensures that everything they sell is rich in antioxidants. Most importantly, according to the Nutrition Manager of Fonterra, dairy is a super food that contains over 200 nutrients and one of the richest food sources of Calcium and Vitamin D.
And of course finally, eat smart and in moderation and always check product labels.
