Leche Flan has always been a Filipino favorite! In fact, it is a popular dessert, especially during the Holidays! However, since we are obviosuly way past Christmas and New Year as we are already well into 2023, let us share with you a Leche Flan that is perfect for the summer as we put a fruity twist into it. Before jumping into what exactly it is, though, let’s talk more about Leche Flan and how it came to be one of Philippines’ well-loved delicacy.

To start, Leche Flan, much like a lot of Filipino dishes, was heavily influenced by the Spanish Flan de Leche which means Milk Flan. The difference is that the Filipino Leche Flan is heavier than the Spanish Flan de Leche. This is because the Filipino version uses condensed milk and more egg yolks.

Indeed, Leche Flan is a mainstay in many Filipino feasts and celebrations! Everyone just easily gets hooked and falls in love with this delectable dessert with a shiny layer of mouthwatering caramel on top. Every spoonful is surely a delicious journey of creamy, milky, and silky goodness.

All that being said, as summer is already here, we decided to have a little play with the classic Leche Flan by adding bananas into the mix. That’s right, today we have Banana Flan for you to not only dig into, but to delight in as well! We took two of your favorites and made it into this one eye-sparkling and drool-enducing goodie that is great for whenever!

We promise you, you are going to love every bit of this Banana Flan as we made sure to balance all the flavors so you could enjoy not only the classic milky taste of Leche Flan, but also, have extra fun with the fruity notes of a banana. Hooray!
