Taken after the Creole Cuisine which originated in Louisiana, United States. Creole’s dishes are heavily influenced by French, Spanish, West African, Amerindian, German, Italian and Irish influences, as well as influences from the general cuisine of the Southern United States.
And now through Cafe Creole which is located in the Ground Floor of Resorts World Manila we get to enjoy Creole dishes at its finest. The cafe boast of New Orleans’s Soul Food where seafood plays a big role on their dishes.
But aside from soul food, sweets and desserts lovers would be delighted as they also have plenty of cakes and pastries to be excited about. Let’s go into the desserts later and try their main dishes first.
Fish Pontchartrain- A thick version of fish fillet served with a rich sauce that we’re sure everyone will like.
Truffle Fries and Corned Beef – we have never tried anything like truffle fries served with corned beef so imagine our surprise when we took a bite of this very appetizing dish.
Oysters Rockefeller – I have always been a big fan of seafood especially when there’s cheese on it, so needless to say I absolutely enjoyed their oyster dish.
Braso De Mercedes – so fluffy, rich in flavor and with just the right amount of sweetness. In short, a very delicious Braso version that Cafe Creole has the right to be proud of.
Classic Beignets – very similar to a donut but this square-shaped pastry made with deep-fried dough and topped with powdered sugar is such a winner especially when served with a cup of coffee.
Everglades Jambalaya – one of the popular entrees of the cafe for a very good reason. This rice and meat dish cooked with vegetables and different spices produced such an aromatic and flavorful offering, that will definitely be hard to resist.
Café Au Lait – one of New Orleans famous coffee has instantly became our favorite drink. Below are also some of the cakes that you can enjoy along with this delicious coffee drink.
