We were fortunate to stay at Subic Bay Yacht Club for a few days and explore what they got to offer — not only to their members anymore, but to people who want a relaxing and fabulous staycation like no other.

But then again, before finding out what lies behind their huge classy doors, let’s first find out what yumminess lies inside their currently one and only restaurant, Cambusa Bistro. Cambusa Bistro highlights a mix of local and international dishes in a comfy yet elegant and classy setting.

Garden Fresh Salad (Php 230)

Starting off with something light and fresh, their Garden Fresh Salad (Php 230) is a hearty serving of romaine lettuce, tomato, corn, beans, carrot, potato, peanuts, mushroom, olives, and vinaigrette with a hint sweet vanilla.

Next to that is something that is of a snack and a heavy meal. Their Cambusa’s 7oz. Cheeseburger Platter (Php 350) is of beef patty, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, pickles, alongside some potato wedge for side.

Meanwhile, for people who loves breakfast, but are not at all a morning person, you could check out their All-day Breakfast selection and go for their Filipino Combination (Php 440) that is undeniably a bestseller as this one is a plate of Pinoy breakfast faves like beef tapa, pork tocino, garlic longganisa, daing na bangus, garlic rice which you could pair with juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

And if that has got you hooked with meat, then say hooray because Cambusa Bistro has more for you. Their Crispy Pata (Php 700) is a beastseller as this is a scrumptious serving of pork knuckles with special sauce and their Osso Buco Ala Cambusa (Php 580) is of tender beef shank, with red wine, pomodoro, together with side salad and focaccia.

But wait, there’s more where those came from because their Herbed Chicken (Php 380) is a sumptuous plate of chicken fillet, olive oil, basil, garlic, grilled, and buttered vegetables while their Pan Seared Salmon (Php 500) which is a bestseller is of salmon fillet with buttered vegetables, and lemon butter.

To make your dining experience with Cambusa Bistro even more extra, their Quattro Formaggi (Php 700) is a bestseller, no surprise there, because this one is of drool-worthy pizza loaded with mozzarella, cheddar, gorgonzola, and parmesan.

Cambusa Bistro really has more to offer, especially now that Subic Bay Yacht Club has finally opened their grandeur to the public. Watch out for more of them soon because they have so much on their pipeline and they are as excited as you are.
