Tagaytay surely has established itself as an escape from the bustling city of Manila. With its cool climate and a number of restaurants, and hotels and resorts, a quick Tagaytay getaway always just sounds so tempting. 

That said, if you have a Tagaytay escapade coming soon, especially if you will be with your friends or family, then we have a wonderful restaurant for you to try. Cabanas Dine and Bar is a lovely over-the-cliff restaurant boasting a refreshing set up, a majestic overlooking view, and of course, a delicious selection of Filipino dishes that are easy favorites!

Speaking of which, we got a hold of two Pinoy classics when we visited Cabanas Dine and Bar recently. Their Cabanas Bulalo is a hearty and heavy bowl of tender beef with bone marrow, delectable vegetables, and warm, tasty soup; while their Crispy Pata is a serving of not only drool-worthy, but also munch-worthy well-cooked and tender pork knuckle with oh-so-crispy skin, alongside yummy dipping sauce. These two dishes really had us excited about what Cabanas Dine and Bar has more for us.

Next from those two dishes is Cabanas Dine and Bar’s newest release, their Custom Boodle. Cabanas Dine and Bar has been offering a variety of Boodle Feasts for a while now, each has their own set of sumptuous dishes; but with their Custom Boodle, diners can choose which to include in their Boodle feast. 

Our Custom Boodle feast included chicken barbecue, grilled liempo, pork barbecue, sisig, inihaw na pusit, prawns, and mussels all on top of steamed white rice. Other than all those, we also got red egg, eggplant, ensaladang mangga, pineapple, ripe mango, and watermelon on the side. It was surely a scrumptious loaded feast, to say the least. 

After having a savory feast, we then proceeded to delight in a number of their desserts. We got their Cheesecakes, Turons, and Palitaws. 

From their Cheesecakes, we were able to have more than just a taste of their Bibingka, Salted Caramel, Putobumbong, and Trio Cheesecakes. Meanwhile, for their Turon selection, we got to munch on their Fruit Fritters, Mango Cream Cheese, Banana Rhuma, and Turon Sampler. 

Last, but not the least, their Palitaw variants were definitely fun to eat as we got to love up their Choco, Mango, Caramel, Plain, and Palitaw Sampler. As much as we had a savory feast, we cannot deny that we had some sort of a dessert banquet as well!
