If you thought we have ended 2019 without getting full on Empacho, then boy, you are absolutely wrong! If you are looking for a place around Timog where you really could not only munch on, but gobble, and devour sinful and uber delicious dishes, then Empacho is your space! Just like what they actually say, “Come light, leave heavy” – that’s exactly what Empacho is all about, so don’t get intimidated of their name, but rather, get excited about it.
We won’t blabber so much about them anymore, because we know by just reading Empacho, we got your mouths watering, or maybe even drooling, right? No judgement from us, don’t you worry, because we totally get it! We, too, just drool over everything about Empacho, so here we go!

As this was during Christmas time, we learned that their Christmas platters which they launched December of 2018 are now available all year round and are now called as Party Platters and some of those are what we got served with; starting with their Triple Bypass (Php 1200) which is a platter of crispy chicken skin, salt and pepper chicharon bulaklak, and isol inasal with 3 special sauces!

After having an appetizer in the size of a platter, we were served three of their mains such as their Spicy Laing Carbonara (Php 1300) which is of creamy spicy laing topped with crispy bagnet; their Lechon Stuffed Truffle Laing Rice (Php 1650) which is a serving of crispy and juicy oven roasted marinated pork belly, stuffed with herbs and spices, with truffle laing rice; and their Crispy Pork Kare-Kare (Php 1650) which is of spicy deep fried salted pork belly with Empacho’s annatto peanut sauce and bagoong.

Meanwhile, for dessert, we got a bunch of sweets that filled our sweet tooth like their Bibingka Cassava Cake (Php 225) which is cassava cake with salted egg, queso de bola, and desiccated coconut; their Puto Bumbong (Php 150) which is a classic Pinoy Christmas treat topped with leche flan; as well as our favorite, their Mango Tres Leche (Php 250) which is just so delectable!

More into their sweets, this time for their new ones which when we visited were only available for the Holiday season, namely the Mango Biko de Leche (Php 175) and the Mango Pastillas Cheesecake Turon (Php 175). Both were downright so good.
