Standing proud and funky, accentuated with white and red stripes, 7Twenty7 Diner is hard to miss, especially when you are a sucker for vintage looking places as this one has a vintage-looking gas station smacked right in front of it. Entering, you will be welcomed by a bar counter with bright red bar stools that would funky up your mood.
Roam your sight around the place and you will be feasting on a ton of stuff you might have seen in movies wherein settings are in the era of Old Hollywood. Their walls are adorned with photos of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley; the Blonde Bombshell, Marilyn Monroe; the ever elegant and classy, Audrey Hepburn; the cultural icon of teenage disillusionment and social estrangement, James Dean; as well as the legendary English rock band, The Beatles; alongside vintage signages and posters giving you a glimpse of the time long before today.
Not only will the place and the staff throw you back to the 50s, but also their food will definitely give you that much-loved, diner feel which is known for yummy, satisfying, big servings, even with their appetizers!
Their Jalapeno Bacon Poppers (Php 298) which is of fried jalapenos, mozzarella cheese, and smoked bacon with seasoned breadcrumbs, is truly a punch of crunch goodness in every bite. Dip it into some marinara sauce and you got yourself into a different level of yum!
After that kick of spice, have a meaty punch in the form of sumptuous sandwich treat, their Signature Cheese Burger (Php 349) which is of chargrilled 6oz US beef patty, cheddar cheese, special sauce, sesame seed bun, shoestring fries. All their burgers are absolutely heaven sent as they are made of 100% USDA steak beef cuts, freshly grounded everyday and chargrilled to perfection.
Having some meat will most likely make you want for more and so you better be ready because we have two meatastic dishes for you. The Fried Pork Chops (1 piece Php 295 | 2 pieces Php 370) is a hefty plate of flavorful marinated pork chop, Mexican rice, coleslaw, alongside chipotle ketchup, while the Grilled Pork Belly (Php 375) is a sumptuous serving of grilled pork belly, buttered corn cob, butter garlic rice, together with mushroom gravy.
Beginning with a dash of spice and jumping onto some protein goodies, carb it up with a lip-smacking good pasta dish of theirs that had us twirling our forks non-stop, the Angel Hair Amatricana (Php 240) is of bacon pomodoro, olives and capers, and of course, angel hair pasta. With each mouthful of this, it was like angels were singing in the background.
And to further on this cloud 9 experience, dessert gods have blessed us with some luscious pastries we really took pleasure in every rich bite. The Tres Leches (Slice Php 159 | Whole Php 800) is a butter sponge cake bathing in three milk sauce, strawberry compote, mango cubes, and toasted almonds as the Chocolate Seduction (Slice Php 165 | Whole Php 900) is a triple layered coffee chocolate sponge cake that has peanut butter caramel filling, chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate truffle. Both cakes are just so hard to forget – not that we are even trying to.
Other than these awesome delectable to munch on here at 7Twenty7 Diner, you might also go for an all-day breakfast dish of theirs like the Route 66 Stuffed Omelet (Php 199) which is of three egg omelet, chicken, peppers, onions, and melted cheese with hash browns and buttered toast.
Another one that is worth the try is their palatable Shrimp Tacos (Php 335) which is of shrimp, taco vegetable, salsa, all shredded cheese all wrapped in the delicious warmth of a soft taco, plus a side serving of cheesy nachos!
Truly, 7Twenty7 Diner is a fun eat out that is so much worth the drive! As this one is in Cavite, many people still go all the way here from different cities and municipalities just to be able to get a glimpse of how a 50s diner look like and of course, gobble down some really good dishes that you would gladly go back to.
