Well, it is none other than Ginataang Manok! This dish can be made in 30 minutes or less so you could say this one is a life-saver for busy weeknights, when you got little to no time but still want a tasty and hearty dish, nonetheless.

That said, Ginataang Manok is a Filipino dish well-loved by many. Chicken sauteed with garlic, onion, and ginger, and then stewed and simmered in coconut milk? Count us in! As we have said, this dish is flavorful, filling, and no doubt easy to make so this dish being one of our favorites should not come as a surprise as it won’t come as a surprise to us as well once you got a taste and call it your favorite too.

Add chicken and then cook it until it is slightly browned.
Add fish sauce. Saute.
Add ground black pepper. Saute again.
Add coconut milk, bring to a simmer, and then continue to cook for 20 to 25 minutes.
After 20 to 25 minutes, add papaya, and then cook more for 4 to 6 minutes.
After that, add salt, and then mix.
Add red chilis, bell peppers, and green chilis. Mix.
Add the rest of the coconut milk. Mix again and then let it simmer for a bit.
Add chili leaves, and then let it simmer for a bit again.
Transfer to a serving dish. Serve and enjoy!
