Alongside its distinct and delicious coconutty flavor, we love playing it up with some spice! You know us and you know our palates are all down for a bit of punch and kick from time to time. We just love that extra umph, if you get what we mean. The added spicy tones just makes the whole dish even more of an indulgence as it goes really well with the creaminess of its soup and tastiness of the fish.

Ginataang Tilapia, by the way, is another commonly made dish among Filipino households. This dish is usually of fish cooked in coconut milk alongside some leafy vegetables. For our Ginataang Tilapia, obviously, we used Tilapia as our fish! For our veggies, we grabbed some pechay as well as bell pepper for extra munch! For aroma and flavor, we added some ginger, garlic, onion, and of course, red and green chilis. All this together with some fish sauce and ground black pepper makes our oh-so-yummy Ginataang Tilapia possible!
