Two years ever since they started, Gorda actually was conceptualized by siblings who have the same love for Mexican food and their mother. In fact, they love their mom so much they named their restaurant Gorda which means fat woman in Spanish just to tease her. Offering a fusion of Mexican and Filipino delicacies, Gorda gives both cuisines a redefinition with a different casual dining experience you won’t be able to find in others.
The space Gorda has is of rustic-industrial, giving their diners a vibe of ultimate chill and stress-free time. With dim lighting, couches and long tables, group eat outs would be perfect here, too. And if you want to be in a date with your special person or maybe be in a date with yourself, that’s great, too!
That being said, start salivating as their El Pollo Frito (Full Php 550 | Half Php 300) which are picante wings with bleu cheese wings; their Mama’s Nachos (Full Php 755 | Half Php 455) which is of spiced carne estofado, trio local keso, ensalada & jalapeno atchara; as well as Gardo’s Lechon Sisig (Php 365) is a serving of Cebu lechon chunks, tapatio mayo, homemade crema, & jalapeno atchara are just a few of their oh-so-sumptuous appetizers.

As Gorda is a Filipino-Mexican restaurant, of course, you could expect some classic Mexican faves with a twist here like their Lechon Taco (Php 235) which is of Cebu lechon, liver pate, and ensalada; their Trio Fajitas (Php 970) which is of carne, tortillas, keso, and ensalada salsa; alongside their Tapa Burrito (Bowl Php 400 | Wrap Php 375) which is of carne asado, huevo, ensalada, & garlic arroz. These ones will sure satisfy your cravings for a spiced up adventure!
As mentioned, Gorda is perf for groups, so if you are coming in here as a group, you might want to dig into their Mushroom Pizzadilla (Php 850) which has sautéed mushroom and truffle paste, as well as Seafood Arroz Negra (Php 595) which is a hefty serving of rice with squid ink, arroz morcilla sausage, salmon, shrimp, squid, and mussels.
With happy taste buds and full tummies, gobble more as you sip into a few of their refreshing beverages like their Horchata Morena (Php 320) which is of delectable homemade roasted grains, whiskey, and rhum; their Salvaje (Php 320) which is a mix of tequila, citrus, fresh ginger, and San Miguel lemon beer; and of course, don’t miss out on their Signature drink, their Grand Salvaje (Php 2499) which is of 1 bottle of tequila, fresh ginger, 4 bottles beer, and citrus. These drinks will give you that party time you so need to de-stress.
If you want more party and drinks time, Gorda does Happy Hours from 5PM to 9PM everyday wherein you could avail of their generous offer of Buy 2 beers and get 1 free; buy 1 take 1 for their cocktails; and so much more. You could also book them for any events you are about to celebrate, just hit them up for a reservation; and if you want to have them in the comfort of your home, then you are in luck, because they are available in FoodPanda.
