We have told you this before, and we are telling you again today – breakfast buffet is the way to go if you really want to be a morning person. You can take it as a joke because it sounds like one but us having the privilege to be able to travel a lot and have the option to enjoy a buffet first thing in the morning had us waking up extra early so we could be the first to call dibs on the available selection.
As we have gone to a lot of breakfast buffets already, one of the things we have noticed is that most of them offer their diners options on top of options. Seriously, the selections of breakfast buffets we have attended are no joke as they really aim to please. However, the breakfast buffet of The Funny Lion’s Hunt Restaurant is not the same. They didn’t have that almost-overwhelming choices for us to go crazy over, but they definitely made sure that their spread is abundant and that we will be leaving our breakfast table satisfied to our hearts’ and tummies’ content.
As we have indulged ourselves in their breakfast buffet for four straight days, let us tell you how our last one went. As it was our last day with the Funny Lion, we grabbed a plateful of their Seafood Bihon as this one is actually a staple on their breakfast selection. We loved how light, fresh, and flavorful this one is.
Another breakfast staple we got is their Bacon. We don’t know how they do it but there was never a day that their bacon tray was empty. We are not even kidding, every time we go back to get more, it is full again – and that for us is just amazing, especially because we are absolute bacon fans in the morning. We delightfully munch on it while talking about our plans for the day.
Other than those two, we also went for their Daing na Bangus as well as their Sweet and Sour Chicken. This is another thing we noticed and adored about Hunt Restaurant’s breakfast buffet here at The Funny Lion – they make sure to have a chicken dish and fish dish on their selection, so yes, everyday these proteins are available for breakfast, it’s just that they are cooked differently on the daily.
Other than these savories, Hunt Restaurant of The Funny Lion also has a variance of breads and fresh fruits everyday. This way, people who are not that into rice can also carb it up with some bread options, while everyone can also start their day on a sweet note with some delicious fresh fruits. Yum!
As we already have a few of their breakfast staples on our table and it was our last day, we did not want to miss the chance of having some of our faves from their all-day menu too, hence we ordered a number of Hunt Restaurant’s specialties as well. We got one from their Pasta, Burger Bar, and Rice Bowl selections.
Their Seafood Penne (Php 450) was undeniably a heavy and tasty one. We mean, what would you expect from a hearty serving of penne and kibao clams tossed in pesto, then topped with sundried tomatoes, fried tinapa flakes, and parmesan cheese, right? Only the best, we guess!
Meanwhile, their Beef & Bacon (Php 465) was juicy, meaty, and savory too. We are telling you, this one is no ordinary burger because this dish will have you devouring delicious beef patties in house-made brioche buns with crispy bacon, bacon jam, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickled onions. Plus, this is served with french fries on the side so total wowzie, if you ask us!
Last but definitely not the least, was their Korean Beef (Php 450), which spoiler alert is one of our favorites! This rice bowl is a generous, scrumptious, and saucy bowl of slow-cooked braised beef with bulgogi sauce, fried egg, and pickled vegetable, on a bed of rice. Truly, a comforting dish in all aspects!
Hands down, Hunt Restaurant of The Funny Lion has brought their A-game with their breakfast buffet and they are ready to take on your palate and tummy too! With that, better book your stay with The Funny Lion soon so you could experience all that we have experienced as well. You can follow them on their Facebook, Instagram, and Website for more details.
