Kam’s Roast is Finally Here in Manila

FOODEE Global Concepts did it again.

Another Michelin-starred restaurant just opened recently in SM Megamall. It’s Kam’s Roast from Hong Kong. It joins other internationally-acclaimed and Michelin-starred food concepts introduced by FOODEE Global Concepts such as Tim Ho Wan, FOO’D by David Oldani, and Tsuta Japanese Soba Noodles.

Kam’s Roast is known for its signature roast goose, but its branch in Manila won’t be serving that. Importing goose from China is not allowed in the Philippines. Good thing we’ll still enjoy other Kam’s Roast’s mouth-watering dishes such as Roast Duck, Suckling Pig, and Barbeque Pork. Each recipe is made with the freshest premium ingredients, delicately prepared to bring out the flavors and textures the restaurant has become famous for.

THE FOOD

For appetizers, we had their Marinated Cucumber and Marinated Tofu. The former was really good and it was a refreshing treat to start our feast. The tofu was soft and silky, which balanced the sourness of the cucumber.

Next served was the Roast Duck. It’s definitely one of our favorites among all the dishes that were served. It was juicy, flavorful, and tender all at the same time! The ducks that Kam’s Roast is using are foreign-bred but raised locally. They are much bigger than usual. Do yourself a favor and don’t skip this!

Kam’s Roast Soya Chicken was so good too. It was seasoned well that even the white meats are flavorful. We were able to try 2 types of char siu during this visit – the regular one and the Toro char siu. We liked the latter better as it’s more tender. Toro char siu has more fat than the regular one.

Lastly, we were able to try Kam’s Roast Pork. The quality of the meat was superior as evident with its meat-fat-meat-fat-skin layers. It’s served with mustard sauce which well-complemented the meat.

Overall, we were satisfied with our experience at Kam’s Roast. It’s definitely a restaurant we’ll keep coming back for. It’s good for families and friends. See you here at Kam’s Roast!
