Keep cool with Krispy Kreme’s refreshing frozen drinks, and you might just win a trip for four to a ski resort in Dubai!

Is it just me, or does it just seem to get hotter and hotter in here? But don’t let rising temperatures ruin your day— chill, take things easy, and make sure you never go hungry. Think about it… hungry plus angry,  or should I say hangry? Yikes!

Thankfully, I can rely on an old-time favorite like Krispy Kreme. This international coffee shop franchise is known for top-quality treats, including their famous Original Glazed Donut, and a wide variety of coffee blends and drinks. Krispy Kreme has been in the Philippines since 2006, but has continuously wowed and amazed kids and adults alike with seasonal flavors, and fun donuts that come in quirky designs and flavors.

And this summer, we’re in for a treat as they unveil fruit-inspired donuts and a new line of refreshing drinks!

Krispy Kreme showcased all these and more in their newest branch in Shangri-la Plaza, which you can find on the lower ground floor of the mall. This tropical-themed event was a gathering of influencers, bloggers and guests such as myself, as we got to try Krispy Kreme’s summer selection firsthand. The place was done up nicely, with beach decor along with beanbags and chairs for guests to sit, a buffet table filled with Krispy Kreme’s bestsellers, and a setup featuring adorable accessories like lifesavers, toys and umbrellas atop sand that you could use for that Insta-worthy photo.

Aside from fun games and activities, where attendees won exclusive Krispy Kreme merchandise, the highlight of the event was the free-flowing (and giving) of donuts and drinks for everyone to enjoy with upbeat music, friends and good company.

Fruity Donuts and More!

From Easter Egg-inspired designs on Holy Week to festive donuts for the Christmas season, Krispy Kreme continuously reinvents their menu to stay updated with the times. This summer, their latest offering includes fruity donuts that don’t just look bright and colorful— they taste just as fruity! Aside from their Zesty Orange and Tropical Pineapple, these are notable flavors to look out for:

1. Kiwi Lemon: Sour, but melds with the sweetness from the white chocolate.

2. Raspberry Melon: More sweet than sour. Comes with a gooey jam-like top and flecks of black to mimic watermelon seeds.

3. Strawberry Blueberry: An overload of berry goodness! Delightfully sour and sweet.

4. Mellow Mango: Think mangoes and cream, but as a donut. All sweet, and no sour taste.

Aside from these fruit-inspired flavors, Krispy Kreme also offers a new line of donuts like Nutella with Almonds, Hershey’s Cookies n’ Kreme, New York Cheesecake, Kitkat Chocolate, Red Velvet Cheesecake and Choco Peanut Butter Ring-Filled. Each one is made with well-loved, international confectionery brands combined with Krispy Kreme’s signature soft and fluffy donuts.

Let’s also not forget the Krispy Minis, which feature miniature versions of Krispy Kreme’s bestsellers like the Original Glazed, chocolate and matcha— quick and easy snacks that you can carry around.

Frozen Summer Drinks

Krispy Kreme offers a wide variety of summer refreshments for coffee lovers, or non-caffeinated ones like milkshakes and refreshing fruity blends. These drinks start at PHP99, and guarantee you some much-needed coolness to combat the intense Manila heat.

Krispy Kreme Iced Coffee Drinks: if you’re looking for the classics, their selection includes Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Kaffe Kreme and Mocha. And for those who want a load of caffeine without the acidity, they now offer Cold Brew coffee! But if you’re a sweet tooth such as myself, the Caramel Latte or the Iced Glazed does the trick.

Chillers: sometimes, drinks served over ice isn’t enough. You need more ice blended in, stat! Krispy Kreme’s Chillers showcase classic favorites like the Original Kreme, Caramel Latte, Mocha Latte and Coffee Jelly for the no-frills drinker. And for the kiddies and kids-at-heart, you can choose from their Originals—  milkshake blends featuring flavors like Chocolate Chocolate (can’t get any more chocolatey than this!), Mango Kreme, Chocolate Cookie with Oreo and Strawberry Kreme.

Frozen Kreme Shakes: these drinks are desserts blended together to form a delightfully creamy and rich drink. Choose from Frozen Glazed Chocolate, Frozen Strawberry Sprinkles and Frozen Vanilla Cake for that unique experience. Plus, each drink comes with a generous amount of whipped cream, and a mini Krispy Kreme donut of the same flavor! (Tip: I recommend the Vanilla if you want something milky and simple, while the Strawberry is great if you like the combination of fruits and cream)

Fruit Slushies: the highlight of the event, these refreshing fruity drinks include these three.

1. Kiwi Green Apple Slushie for those who like a bit of sourness to an otherwise sweet drink.

2. Pineapple Passionfruit Slushie for those who like summery and tropical flavors.

3. Raspberry Watermelon Shake for those who like things sweet and refreshing. This one is easily a favorite of mine because I’m such a sweet tooth, and because I just love watermelon!
