Longganisa Fried Rice Recipe

If you are going to ask us what thing most Pinoys would not be able to live without, we will give you an answer so true, you, yourself, would not even be able to deny it. Rice. Plain and simple. That piping hot, steamed white rice is no doubt every Pinoy’s guilty pleasure and if eating it is a crime, then okay, cuff us, too.

But wait, you sure won’t be wanting to get cuffed when you find out what we have for you today. It’s none other than Longganisa Fried Rice y’all. Fried Rice is a famous wake-upper here in the Philippines. Yes, we do love a heavy breakfast and rice is the very definition of heavy for us. And so, when we have leftover rice from last night, we re-cook it into fried rice.

However, we do love putting a twist into things, hence Longganisa Fried Rice. We are not taking credit over this one, though, as different recipes of a variance of dishes really have been passed onto generations to generations already. What we are saying is, this is just our version of that delicious dish.

Longganisa Fried Rice is another Pinoy favorite that has been enjoyed in a lot of Filipino households, especially in the morning, as this one is already an all-in-one dish that needs no other add-ons. The longganisa makes the fried rice even more flavorful in every mouthful — and this time you don’t have to worry if you still have a viand to pair with rice, because obviously the main dish and the side dish has been prepped, cooked, and served into one lip-smacking of Filipino go-to dish.

Watch how we make our Longganisa Fried Rice and have it for breakfast or even for tonight!
