Sleeping in a bit late is no crime, especially when you are in a new place and you just had your flight past midnight. That brings us to where we actually are: Iloilo, baby!

As this is our actual first day, we decided to squeeze in some few minutes of sleep, hence we woke up just the right time for brunch because let’s face it, brunch is always a good idea, right?

And with brunch being our favorite meal time option when deciding to sleep in, we headed to DoVa Cafe which gives off a refreshing, rustic vibe with a splash of the colorful life in Hollywood. Walls adorned with frames filled with pictures of known Hollywood personalities.

Unlike our other dining adventures wherein we start it all out straight with food, we opted for a hot mug of joe to wake our senses up a bit more. DoVa Cafe’s Hot White Mocha (Php 155) is just a wonderful wake-upper that jumpstarted our day, making us ready to take on more, especially nomnoms.

After having a sip of good morning in a mug, we decided to grab some carbs and our source is their Triple Cheese Burger (Php 315). This one is absolutely a filling dish to start, but we are not complaining at all as this has a side that sure is tasty as well.

You know what more we are not complaining about? Well, their Spam Rice Bowl (Php 250) is just another one, because really, DoVa Cafe has a lot of  delectables to offer that we sure would love to come back to soon! Anyway, their Spam Rice Bowl is a hearty serving of a brunch meal that definitely would have you thinking of ordering another one even before you finish it.

But then again we didn’t want to go for the same dish twice as we don’t get to be in Iloilo that often, so we snatched another yummy plate! DoVa Cafe’s Bacon and Sausage (Php 295) is a packed plate that no doubt could fill any tummy that is in hunger.

Really, brunch is always a good idea and this just proves that thought again and doing that with DoVa Cafe is not just a good idea, but a great one so if ever you find yourselves in the business district of Iloilo, make sure to drop by at DoVa Cafe!
