Out of town trips are so overrated, especially now that the traffic everywhere is so horrible. Inside and outside the metro, you can’t escape the horrendous trouble of getting past the traffic jams.  Before you get to your destination most of your time was pretty much wasted plus the fact that you’re exhausted.  Good thing, there’s still a lot of decent and worth every penny hotels within the metro. One of which is the Luxent Hotel that we recently had the pleasure of staying in.

Luxent Hotel is a 4-star hotel and I must say I can give them a 4.5 for the overall experience we had with them.

But what made us rate them that high? Let’s dive into it, shall we?

 

Their accommodations and even just the hallway speaks of class and sophistication. Your stay will definitely be more than memorable, as you enjoy the comfort that your room provides. You have everything you need, the toiletries, the spacious bathroom and the comfy beds.

For all those who’ve got the money to splurge, you may want to check out their elegant and fit for a king Presidential Suite. It’s definitely the type of room that you don’t want to get out of.

Want to take a dip? They’ve got you covered with their AquaTrim Pool and Fitness Center. It certainly is a cool swimming pool that looks like a huge aquarium.  We had a great time swimming as we take pictures and video of ourselves.  They also have a kiddie pool for the children to enjoy.

 

If you want to sweat and burn those calories, their well-equipped gym will take care of that.  They’ve got plenty of thread mills and other machines that will be absolutely great for working out.

And if that’s not enough the hotel has a fantastic view of the Rotonda that you can easily view from the pool or fitness area.

 

A great hotel wouldn’t be so great without a restaurant, after all, you don’t want to go outside the hotel and worry about what and where to eat. It’s called “Staycation” for a reason.  So now let’s talk about what will make our tummy happy at Luxent.

Luxent Hotel offers an all day dining restaurant named Garden Cafe’. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. They served international cuisines through buffet or ala-carte styles. They’re open from 6AM to 10 PM.

The cozy and classy feel of the Garden Cafe’ Restaurant will make you enjoy your meal along with great conversations with your friends or loved-ones. Want to know what to order? Below are some of our recommended dishes.

A Filipino savory stew of meat simmered in a rich, spicy dark gravy of pig blood garlic, chili and vinegar, served with puto.

Capellini, sautéed in garlic and olive oil with a touch of chili topped with grilled shrimp. Served with garlic bread.

Roasted spring chicken served with garlic champignon, grilled cherry tomatoes and tangy mustard sauce. Served with Cajun rice.

Tender over braised pork ribs charbroiled with BBQ sauce marinade. Served with Cajun rice/potato salad and cilantro corn. Comes with special barbecue sauce and sour cream.

Pan seared salmon drizzled with teriyaki sauce, served with onion leeks, kani kyuri salad and steamed rice.

Tiger prawns sautéed in garlic, chilies and white wine, tossed in zesty coconut cream served with steam rice.

Guinataang bilo bilo, mais and monggo served with turones con manggat langka.

The Lush Bar and Lounge offers sumptuous meals and the finest drinks in the city, it’s the perfect cozy spot to unwind and it’s located right inside the hotel lobby.  They also have live entertainment that will definitely get you staying at their bar listening to great performers.

Strawberry Margarita, Blue Hawaiian and Mojito are some of the great cocktails to try at their Lush Bar and Lounge. They also serve quite an extensive drinks menu that will definitely cover whatever type of drinker you are.
