As part of the hotel’s support on sustainable tourism, Marco Polo Davao has finally eliminated the usage of single-use plastic straw in all its food and beverage outlets. Since its launching last May 18, 2018, the hotel has provided bamboo straws for smoothies, Signature Iced Coffee and some classic cocktails.
Marco Polo bamboo straws, specially made by Bambuhay, are anti-bacterial, biodegradable, reusable bamboo straws and will be available for merchandise in the upcoming months.
Marco Polo Davao, an EarthCheck-certified hotel has now set the bar up as it has been recognized for their efforts in going green and sustainable tourism as it is the first hotel in Davao City who has done this initiative.
