Misua Soup is a classic dish that will no doubt make you feel at home even with just one sip. Often times it also has patola (sponge gourd) in it, a vegetable commonly used in Filipino dishes. Misua are thin, salted Chinese noodles made from wheat flour that is quick to cook, so this dish is also great for when you need something served on the table in less than an hour.


However, as we are about sharing and big appetites, we opted to put some meatballs on our Misua Soup which is also usually done by other Filipino families. Afterall, Filipino families are often big eaters.

In a bowl, add ground meat, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, garlic, onion, salt, black pepper, flour and eggs. Mix thoroughly.
Form the mixture into a one and a half inch balls. Fry the meatballs until golden brown then set aside.
Saute' garlic and onion. Then, add water and bring to a boil.
Add meatballs, ground pepper, salt, sponge gourd and misua. Bring to a boil.
Add fish sauce and green onion then mix well.
Serve hot in a bowl and enjoy!
