Filipinos are known to love Pizza no matter what the size, flavor or brand it is. It is one great dish that we have grown to love.
There are lots of Pizza varieties depending on which country you are. But if you want to know how the authentic Italian pizza taste like, fret no more, as Motorino can definitely give you what you’re looking for. The famous Brooklyn Pizzeria franchise that serves Authentic Neapolitan pizzas (pizza napoletana) that are typically made with tomatoes and Mozzarella cheese is just right around the corner.
Located in Greenbelt 3, Makati City with it’s New York style feel and vibe. Filled with ample seats and spacious dining area is the famous pizzeria that originated all the way from Brooklyn.
This big and black brick oven is mainly the main attraction when you come across their kitchen.
Most Filipino’s are accustomed to thin- crust, thick crust or stuffed crust but unknown to many is the Motorino’s version of pizza crust. It’s not the typical perfect circled shaped pizza crust that you normally see from a pizza place or pizza parlor here in the metro. Their crust is imperfect and speckled with char from the wood-fired oven which is how Chef Mathieu Palombino prefer it.
But Motorino serves more than pizza, they have a wide range of menu which ranges from appetizers, mains, desserts and drinks.
So we started off with their Caesar Salad.
This tower like salad is not your typical one. We love how they are constructed and presented, along with the Parmesan cheese on the veggies and the crouton and anchovy dressing that complemented the dish.
Their Prosciutto di Parma pizza on the other hand is a whole new experience for us. Judging from the charred crust and the very limited toppings, one must think that it’s not so appetizing. But actually it is very delectable.
One bite is all it took for me to love it. I love how chewy and cheesy the crust is. The Parma Ham as a topping, undeniably added flavor to the pizza, making it more delicious.
Right after their famous pizza, we tried their Alfredo with Prawns Pasta.
We love how creamy and milky the pasta is and how the noodles was cooked just right. The big prawns that came with it, is such a perfect match.
Lastly, we tried their Tiramisu for dessert. It is such a good one in a way that you’re not over loading with sugar in every bite, yet you know you’re eating dessert.
We were happily assisted by Lou who did not only attend to our needs but managed to answer all of our questions with a smile on her face.
Overall, we have officially added Motorino as one of our favorite Pizza place that we will often go to whenever we need our Pizza fix.
