Having to check out by 12PM from Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay, while having to drive to and check in by around 3 or 4PM at Club Balai Isabel, we were able to squeeze in some quick bites and a few heavy meals here at Twin Lakes Shopping Village. Established at the year 2015, you could say many have frequent here already, others even going to Tagaytay just to be able to dine at the different dining concepts available here at Twin Lakes Shopping Village.
With four dining concepts on our tight schedule to not only check out, but to try out their food, we sure are in a rush, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t take our time and enjoy each and every mouthful we had. We mean, it is still food we are talking about and if it is not obvious yet, we are head over heels in love with food, especially delicious ones that make our mouths water!
Starting with a gorgeous, down to earth style of a dining place, we cannot help, but admire La Créperie (Facebook & Instagram) which is a cafe serving galettes, also known as savory crépes, as well as sweet crépes, alongside comfort food that comprises of fresh, authentic ingredients with a touch of French soul.
Being crépes are their specialty, of course, we did not just had one of their luscious crépes, but two. One is their Salted Butter Caramel Mille Crepe Cake (Slice Php 195 | Whole Php 1750) and the other is their Chocolate Mille Crepe Cake (Slice Php 195 | Whole Php 1750). Each being a twenty-layer hand-crafted crepe cake, believe us when we say, each bite is rich! To make our La Créperie experience even richer, we paired these with a bestseller drink of theirs, the Angelina’s Hot Chocolate (Php 220).
From having a few crépes, we headed to Greg’s Fruitcakery (Facebook & Instagram) wherein you will be able to avail their generous promo of Buy1Take1 on all their breads, except cakes and fruitcakes. For almost four years, they have been teasing people with the delectable scent of their bakeshop that passing by without getting any would, indeed, be hard.
That being said, we got a ton of their offerings which are their Fruitcake Classic (Slice Php 80 | Whole Php 770), their Ensaymada (Each Php 60 | Box of six Php 369), their Apple Caramel Cinnamon Rolls (Half dozen Php 238 | One dozen Php 436), their Banana Walnut (Loaf Php 289), their Carrot Cheesecake (Slice Php 170 | Whole Php 1800), and their Muffin Madness (Box Php 349) which includes two carrot muffins, two red velvet muffins with cream cheese frosting, and two chocolate muffins with chocolate buttercream frosting.
After having some sweets, we kind of craved for some savories and heavier options. Good thing Silver Bucket (Facebook & Instagram) is here to bring us some seafood goodness we sure would be glad to dive into. They actually started with only offering sesfood delicacies, but now they have expanded more into Filipino classics as well.
Here we had a party with their Mixed Seafood in a Bucket (Half portion Php 1110 | Whole portion Php 1900) which is of crabs, shrimps, mussels in Silver Bucket cajun sauce; their In House Crispy Pata (Php 495); and their Bulalo Steak (Pho 365). To help gulp all those down, we had a bunch of their Coolers which are the Red Tea (Php 100), the Apple Cucumber (Php 100), the Lemon Ice (Php 100), the Lemon and Basil (Php 100), and the Calamansi and Basil (Php 100).
For our fourth and last stop here at Twin Lakes Shopping Village, we got to try a funky dining concept called, the Purple Beetle (Facebook & Instagram). Not only is Purple Beetle a cafe, but also here, you can get yourself more fun time as they have games available for play.
They have board games, card games, even jengga, alongside some novels and coloring books. While playing, fuel up with a bunch of their offerings like their Ceasar Salad (Php 210), their Carbonara (Php 195), as well as their Cheeseburger (Php 190). Pair those drinks to wake you up and hype you up like their Cafe Latte (Php 125) and their Mango Graham Frappe (Php 195).
With pleasured taste buds as well as full tummies, we cannot deny – and we won’t be able to anyway – how satisfied we are, even though we only got to drop by at four dining concepts here at Twin Lakes Shopping Village. Plus, we were definitely happy as we were able to even have an extra driving time, making us reach our next destination just on time.
There are still a lot to check out here, that is no doubt the truth, so if ever you catch yourself roaming around Tagaytay looking for a place where you can have a hearty breakfast, a casual lunch, an afternoon tea, or a nightcap of wine together with a sweet kiss that is a dessert, stop overthinking and just go straight here at Twin Lakes Shopping Village.
