The thing with a Cafe is that you would just normally expect a small restaurant selling light meals, good coffee and drinks. But Nuestro Cafe proves to be more than the cliche’.
Nuestro is a spanish term for “our”, so the owners would like to promote the place not to be just an ordinary cafe but to be a place where everyone can be themselves, feel at home and can do whatever they want. The ambiance boost of a cozy and more of a hang-out place to chill and have conversations. They want to make it as open and as relaxing as possible. If customers would like to watch TV instead of listening to music, they can freely turn the TV on and turn off the music. They can sit, relax, eat or have a few drinks afterwards.
Nuestro Cafe speaks not only of a cozy but also of a homey and artsy vibe. Every decor, furniture and interiors were all proudly and lovingly made by the owners. They take pride in the fact that the outcome of their labor of love has been so far, fruitful and well appreciated.
They even took pictures of their customers when they dine in and post it on their wall. While the other side of the wall was designed as a dedication wall. Where you can write your name, thoughts or just about anything that you want to share or express.
Alex Ricamonte whose one of the owners is one chatty and very accommodating individual. It was actually the first time he entertained a blogger but we didn’t feel any awkwardness at all. He was very hospitable and friendly. We really felt that we were just sitting at home having small talks or conversations with old friends.
They decided to serve us with their light meals since we went there actually in the middle of the afternoon. One thing that you won’t fail to notice are the price points of their offerings.
For less than a hundred, you would be able to get their grilled cheese sandwich served with fries. I like the fact that their grilled sandwich is grilled to perfection and with generous amount of cheese.
Their Buttered Garlic Pasta with Schublig sausages on the other hand is not your typical pasta. I just love the garlicky taste of the dish in my mouth. Plus the shoe bling sausages added more flavor to the pasta. I must say, this is one is simply my favorite.
Next item that they wanted us to try was their Hot Chocolate which is known to be a hit for both the young and old crowd. And I understand why, it is simply outrageous. It’s very chocolatey but without the sugar overload. It’s creamy, milky and absolutely delicious. I can’t stop myself from emptying the cup. Starbucks and McDo’s hot chocolate would taste ridiculously bland when compared to theirs.
Since coffee is also on their menu, I decided to try their Mocha coffee. Topped with cinnamon and served with just the right amount of sweetness, every sip was so pleasant in my mouth.
The last item that we tried is their mango smoothie which is such a sweet and glorious concoction. My taste buds was literally jumping up and down if it could, when I tasted this mango goodness. The luscious, creamy and scrumptious taste is such a joy.
Alex shared to us that they will soon expand their menu and add more dishes and drinks. This is something to look forward to especially if you are one of the regulars of the cafe.
We surely enjoyed our first visit at Nuestro Cafe and will definitely drop by when we’re headed again to the Paranaque area. Hopefully, the new offerings are already added to the menu at that time.
