Cebu is truly a cauldron of delicious food. With the few times that we were able to visit, there was no moment that we did not like what was on our table. There is so much to explore, so much to discover, and of course, so much to indulge in Cebu!
Speaking of indulgence, it was no doubt an honor to be one of the firsts to experience the newest resort in Cebu, NUSTAR Resort and Casino, also known as the Island of New Possibilities! NUSTAR Resort and Casino already had our jaws dropping the moment it was in our sight, so imagine what we looked like when we finally stepped foot in it.
NUSTAR Resort and Casino is a premier 5-star resort that is not only redefining luxury with world-class gaming, entertainment, events, and shopping, but also they are tantalizing the palate and the senses with feasts that highlight some of the world’s most delectable international cuisines such Filipino, Asian, American, and of course, European. Currently, NUSTAR Resort and Casino has six dining options that their diners could go for. One of which is Fina, their all-day dining Filipino restaurant.
The restaurant’s name is derived from the word “Filipiniana”, and they aim to bring to the center stage food that truly defines Filipino cuisine. From comforting classics to heirloom dishes that don’t only come from Ceby, but also from other regions around the Philippines, Fina surely gave us a dining experience that is new, but at the same time, close to our hearts.
Upon our arrival, we went to the Fili Hotel of NUSTAR Resort and Casino where they welcomed us with a grand Boodle Fight delightfully waiting for us at Fina. Prepared by their amazing chefs, the boodle fight was placed at the center of a long table, filled with fresh tasty seafood such as Oven Baked Tahong, Crispy Danggit, Grilled Shrimp, Grilled Pusit, and Grilled Tanigue. Aside from those delicious bounty from the sea, Lumpiang Shanghai and Cebu Bellychon were also included in the Boodle Fight. Of course, all of these were topped on a bed of steamed white rice.
Fina also served us two of their bestselling dishes and those were Kare-Kare as well as Dinuguan. These two dishes really had us falling in love with Fina, as if we weren’t already. The boodle fight was absolutely a delicious welcome surprise and we loved every bit of it!
As Fina is Fili Hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, here is where we also had one of our breakfasts during our stay. For that, we had three of their plated breakfasts. Two of which were of Filipino cuisine while one is of Western cuisine. Their Longsilog and Tapsilog definitely had us feeling satisfied and energized, while their Bacons, Sausages, and Eggs had us feeling full and happy, for sure. Our breakfast with Fina was a wonderful way to start our day, to say the least!
Certainly, there is so much to enjoy at Fina, so why not book a stay with Nustar Resort and Casino’s Fili Hotel for your next out of town trip? For more information, you can visit their Facebook, Instagram, and Website.
