Okay is an understatement for describing Ukokkei Japan by Menzo in Maginhawa; here’s why:

Getting its name from a high-flying bird, Ukokkei Ramen by Menzo serves delicious ramen you won’t forget of! Having its first ever branch in SM Megamall and recently opening two branches in the Metro – one in Maginhawa, the other one in SM North, Ukokkei Ramen is making its way to be closer to you so better watch out.

With its Maginhawa branch having a seating capacity of 40, palates craving and tummies gurgling for ramen and so much more will surely be satisfied and happy.

Plus, while they are planning to either have a VIP room or a hot pot for their extra space, grab yourself some seat first so you can slurp your way to some delicious fun!

Before anything else, Ukokkei Ramen has some greens to either start with or stuff yourself with if that is your choice of meal. The Kani Salad (Php 160) is a filling bowl of their bestseller salad that has greens, crab sticks, mangoes, and more, alongside a serving of sesame dressing.

Follow that up with some delicious plate of Gyoza (Php 180) which is a homemade dumpling that is truly a delight and a fun dish that will make you want for more!

As your palate is being teased, the California Roll (4 pieces Php 70 | 8 pieces Php 180) is such a colorful and as the same time tasty treat to have your cravings either satisfied or intensified.

Heading onto the heavier dishes, the Pork Katsu Don (Php 280) is a hefty bowl of crispy, tender pork cutlet with yummy egg over a generous serving of rice.

Another rice bowl that would be a reason to dine here again is the Beef Yakiniku Don (Php 240) which comes with a hearty bowl of rice topped with some delicious, easy-to-chew beef barbecue.

And of course, it is not a true Ukokkei ramen dining experience without gobbling down some ramen noodle dishes, right?

With that, the Shiro Ramen (Php 190) is a pork based broth that is cooked for fifteen hours, bringing out the rich flavors; especially this one has one piece pork belly, spring onion, black fungus, and seaweed.

Next is the Aka Ramen (Php 190) which is a spicy chili noodle soup topped with slice of pork shoulder, spring onions, and other fresh ingredients just like with this one having one piece pork belly, spring onion, black fungus, and seaweed.

After that is the Kuro Ramen (Php 190) which is deliciously smoky, fragrant, and the flavor of black sesame garlic oil enriches the taste of pork bone soup, chiefly as this one is topped with one piece pork belly, spring onion, black fungus, & seaweed.

And as if all those ramen noodles aren’t enough, the Special Aka Chashu Ramen (Special Ramen Php 290 | Special Ajitama Ramen Php 320) is Menzo’s signature kara tonkotsu spicy chill soup topped with sesame paste, slices of melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, and fresh toppings.

Ukokkei Ramen is not only ramen and rice dishes, because they also have wonderful desserts that would not only tickle your sweet tooth, but no doubt satisfy it! The Matcha Parfait (Php 210) is a splendid sweet, cold treat that has corn flakes and matcha and vanilla ice cream.

Meanwhile, they also have the classic Japanese dessert which is the Coffee Jelly with Vanilla Ice Cream (Php 120) that is a lovely serving of sugar rush with a bit of delightful bitter taste that balances the flavor of this charming delicacy.

Ukokkei Ramen by Menzo has so much more in their awesome menu that you should definitely try out as it would be a shame not to, so be sure to check out which ever of their branches – may it be in Megamall, Maginhawa, or SM North!
