If you haven’t noticed yet, we are all about sharing our comfort food with you guys. More than anything, we want you to feel what we feel every time we get to dig into food that hits home for us — such as our favorite Pancit Bihon Guisado.


Pancit Bihon Guisado is a Filipino noodle dish which uses rice noodles as its main ingredient, alongside slivers of pork, chicken, shrimp, and of course, vegetables like carrots, green beans, and cabbage. Even though the Chinese were actually the ones to introduce noodles to Filipinos, Filipinos have surely localized Pancit Bihon Guisado as it is already a staple next to rice.


As we are both rice and noodles lovers, of course we are not going to say pass on sharing with you guys how we do and how we like our Pancit Bihon Guisado. More than it being hearty, we also like ours hefty and loaded with the other ingredients that we have mentioned beforehand. The abundabce of pork, chicken, shrimp, carrots, green beans, and cabbage makes our whole Pancit Bihon Guisado even more satisfying!

Don’t even get us started with how flavorful is our take on this classic Filipino dish because we made sure to make ours is as tasty and as delicious as possible. We just really like our food almost like a feast of flavors for our taste buds which is just perfect since Pancit Bihon Guisado is actually a dish commonly served during fiestas and special occasions.

Fry the squid balls until golden brown. Then, set aside.
Saute' garlic and onion. Then add pork, chicken, ground black pepper and mix well.
Let it simmer for 4-5 minutes. Add shrimps, soy sauce, oyster sauce, carrots, green beans, cabbage, water and mix well.
Let it simmer for another 5-7 minutes. Drain the ingredients in a bowl.
On the same wok where the broth remains, add the noodles.
As soon as broth gets absorbed by the noodles, add the meat and the veggies back.
Add squid balls and mix well. Serve hot in a bowl and enjoy!
Add calamansi for a hint of citrus taste. (optional)
