Delicious food certainly got more accessible with FOODEE Global Concepts, one of Manila’s largest multi-brand food group, bringing in one of their loved brands into the east side of Manila, POUND by Todd English. This is their 5th POUND branch which is located at the 2F Eastwood Mall, Veranda, Eastwood City, Libis. Quezon City.

This branch has the familiar black and white checkerboard tiles that gives it like a classic and very timeless vibe, the eye-catching copper mugs that we all want to take home (Am I right? haha!), the comfortable brown leather seats and the waiters with their suspenders. One thing new to this branch is the al-fresco dining area with the view of the Eastwood City Central park.

Now, you wouldn’t go to POUND if you weren’t expecting great burgers, sliders and sides, and I tell you, they do not disappoint.

While waiting for your burgers, order some starters. I ordered their Onion Cube: it’s the prettier version of your onion rings but the batter and the sauce is what makes this onion cube special.

Tried out their Bacon Poutine: a hearty Canadian Classic dish of fresh cut fries, homemade gravy, cheese and house cured bacon. Ay! Super yummy!

POUND offers sumptuous burgers and sliders and for me, the best to order here is their POUND Foie Gras Burger: House Ground Beef Patty, tomato, iceberg lettuce, crispy onion and mustard relish with their T.E. (Todd English) Sauce and Caramelized Onions and to top it off, it has a delectable 50g Seared Foie Gras. The patty was cooked perfectly, and that foie gras has that rich, savoury subtle taste and that melt-in-your-mouth texture. Totally yummers!

Another option would be the Backyard Cheeseburger Double: House Ground Beef patty, cheddar cheese, tomato, iceberg lettuce, onions and top it off with extra bacon as an add on.

For those with smaller appetites, you may try their sliders. I got their Bacon and Egg Sliders (2pcs.): House-cured bacon which are so thick and yummy with an apple aoili dressing and topped off with a fried quail egg.

Or their Crispy Chicken Wrap: Crispy Romaine lettuce, T.E. Creamy Dressing, T.E. Crispy Chicken inside a pita pouch and topped off with anchovy.

For those craving for more than burgers, there’s definitely something in their menu that will satisfy your fancy.

SALADS: Crispy goat cheese and Caesar salad and PASTA: Pound Pomodoro and Caramelized Bacon Alfredo

DESSERTS and MILKSHAKES: T.E. Sundae, OMG Chocolate, Betty White, etc.
