Being the official restaurant of the beautiful Sequoia Hotel, Ombu Kusina delight themselves in serving freshly-prepared traditional and modern Filipino cuisine that is guaranteed to tickle your taste buds, all the while giving some favorite local and foreign dishes a new twist by adding a distinctive touch of Filipino flavor into them.




With Ombu Kusina, you will not only be experiencing home away from home, but also, you will be able to enjoy an elegant dining feel that is made extra special by their accommodating and friendly staff and crew.


Easing into the zone of food that can be related to happiness, the Tokwa’t Baboy (Php 260) is a lovely way to start with as the fried tofu cubes with crispy pork chunks in spicy vinegar sauce will tease your palate of what is more to come.


Following that one with a leveled up, classic Filipino delicacy, the Sisig Pizza (Php 520) is your favorite pork sisig dish in a delicious pizza, topped with egg, perfect with a garlic sauce drizzle. All pizzas are mixed with Filipino cottage cheese, also known as kesong puti, which gives it truly a Filipino taste.


Ombu Kusina makes their pizza dishes in their charcoal oven giving it a delicious smokey taste in every bite much like what you get with another pizza variant of theirs, the Sardine Pizza (Php 460) that is topped with spicy sardines, olives, tomatoes, onions, and mozzarella that is just wonderful.


Having a tad bit taste of something from the sea will definitely crave you for more and so the Seafood Mix Laing (Php 290) is your way to go as this one is a heavenly mix of shrimp, crab meat, onion and lemongrass wrapped in taro leaves and slowly cooked in light coconut milk.


Another healthy veggie dish that is very close to the hearts of the Filipinos is the Munggo at Tinapa (Php 270). This hearty mung bean stew mixed with pork belly and smoked fish will make you reminisce of your much loved family meals at home.


Of course, as Filipinos, rice is much like a necessity already. It is far from being a side dish and so the Dilis Rice (Php 80 per cup | Php 170 for sharing) is a complete meal already. With it being lightly flavored fried rice topped with crispy anchovies, it is great tasting even without a viand on the side.


The next dish is hands down a favorite of many as its taste will surely get to your heart. The Binagoongang Talong (Php 300) is of fresh eggplant with crispy fried pork belly mixed together with a lip-smacking shrimp paste sauce that goes perfect with almost anything, especially rice!


After that is definitely a bomb of yumminess, presented in a wowza manner, the Flaming Chicken (Php 340) is another fave as this one is a savory spring chicken seasoned with various spices, alongside some shitake mushroom for umami, young corn, baguio beans, and carrots, cooked sous vide and served flames in sizzling plate.



Meanwhile, a dish of Ombu Kusina that is seasonal is the Adobochon (Php 440) which is cooked for three hours in their charcoal oven. This roasted pork belly marinated in soy sauce, local vinegar and garlic in classic Filipino adobo flavors, served with adobo gravy is such a delectable dish that you should get a hold of!




Next is another classic star of the Filipino table, the Thrice-Cooked Crispy Pata (Php 720) will keep on calling your name until you give into its deliciousness and tenderness so get yourself an order of this sinfully flavorful Filipino favorite deep fried pork leg served with soy-vinegar dip.


And if you are feeling like you need some extra energy to go about the day, having some carbs from a pasta dish will certainly help with your dilemma. The Salted Egg Spaghettini (Php 260) is spaghetti tossed in golden sauce of salted egg yolks, sprinkled with tomatoes, cucumber & salted egg whites.


Now, Ombu Kusina is not only great with savory dishes, but also they have a bunch of desserts that would top off any dining experience you will have with them, especially when you get a taste of their famous Frozen Brazo de Mercedes (Php 180). This one is indeed a favorite as well as this has heavenly sweet layers of frozen soft meringue, custard filling, ice cream, and crumbly graham cracker crust!


After having all that poppin’ flavors, Ombu Kusina has different beverages which you can wash down with – such as the House Brewed Iced Tea (glass Php 80 | bottomless Php 130) that is undeniably a huge glass of refreshment and the Organic Tamarind Juice (Php 130) that really is living up to its name as you will be really have a zinging taste of the delightful tamarind in every sip.

There are so much to look forward to when it comes to Ombu Kusina – such as their breakfast buffet and their delectable promo of free coffee or tea (choice of hot or iced) when you purchase any of Ombu Kusina’s special cakes, except Frozen Brazo de Mercedes,  that runs from 2PM to 6PM.
