***As expected, the place offers the biggest and best red crabs that you can ever imagine! Fresh and meaty crabs can be cooked in a myriad of ways as per your day’s cravings – the exotic Thai Chili Crab, the classy Crab Maritess simmered in white wine and garlic, and the to-go dish Butter Ginger Crab are just a few of the versions that you can choose to dig in.***

We started out with the Baked Garlic Butter Scallops: generously lathered with cheese and garlic to highlight the fresh taste of scallops, made even more perfect with a splash of lime for a more rounded taste. The dish is very chewy, has that light fresh taste and most importantly the cheese does not overpower the taste; all these to start your stomach churning and wanting for more.

Next we tried the Prawn with Salted Egg and Aligue. Sautéed and simmered in tasty red crab aligue, the perfectly cooked prawns are oozing with umami, heightened further by the distinct taste of finely chopped salted egg on top – definitely a favorite.

Getting to the main course, we went with the Grilled Seafood Platter. Grilled vegetables are served with a generous amount of Tanigue, squid, prawns, clams and mussels.

We got to partner this with the Crab Fat Rice with Crispy Crablets – a hefty serving of tasty aligue rice and deep-fried crablets that can stand as a meal on its own.

One dish that definitely made an impact was the Crab Sotanghon, plated nicely with one whole crab that’s one of the biggest we’ve seen yet! Each strand of the Sotanghon noodles packs

To take a step further into their culinary goodness, The Red Crab has begun to offer what they call quarterly specials – a myriad of fusion dishes aimed at showcasing regional dishes representative of the whole country. As such, we were treated to taste the first quarter offering: Bicol Specials a-la-Red Crab.

The Tinumok was spot-on in its attempt to elevate the regional delicacy into a fine-dining, mildly sweet yet adequately spicy and coconut-rich dish that is sure to make you miss Bicol in all its glory. The Seafood in Coconut Aligue is perfect for those who want a variety in seafood choices stewed in rich coconut that has a sweet and bubbly taste.

The Eel Adobo sa Gata is flaky and the eel meat rolls nice in your mouth. Coupled with their house-blend coconut stew, this dish will leave you ordering for extra rice cups by the hour.

Of course this seafood experience was completed with their Ginataang Halo-Halo that’s sweet in all the right places! This template Pinoy dessert was given a deeper taste by the sweet taste of Langka and coconut milk for a fruity and rich fusion ender.

The cozy and chic ambience, the wide array of live seafood for you to marvel at, and their mouth-watering seafood delicacies are all but a hefty mix of culinary experience any Pinoy would remember to go back to almost every time they want to taste home.
