Sheraton Manila Starts the Year with Big Discounts to Celebrate ‘Veganuary’

January has always been a month of promise and of setting new goals. With our New Year’s resolution still fresh, there’s no better time to switch to healthy and conscious eating than the start of 2021. From your favorite kare-kare to a hot plate of sizzling sisig, turning vegan has never been this indulging and S Kitchen just have the perfect offer to those trying to switch into veganism—a 30% discount on their buffet with Vegan Monday from January 1 to February 28, 2021.

S Kitchen continues to support the vegan community with a variety of plant-based dishes that includes Filipino household staples—proving that eating clean does not have to be limiting. The hotel’s general manager, Anna Vergara invites everyone to celebrate Veganuary at S Kitchen, “The year 2020 has changed so many things, from the way we work to the way we eat. As people become more aware of their food choices as we enter the New Year, we want to offer flavorful yet healthy options to our guest as they renew their lifestyle.”

Their version of kare-kare is made of gelatinous eggplant, tremella mushroom (mock tripe), vegetables, creamy peanut sauce, and mock shrimp paste. Another local favorite is Rellenong Alimasag made of green jackfruit, crumbled tofu, seaweed, and miso formed into patties then deep-fried. There’s also Sizzling Sisig made of fried mushroom medley, marinated tofu, served on a sizzling platter and even a vegan version of Halo-Halo made of vegan agar jelly, nata de coco, tapioca pearls, sweetened red beans, crispy pinipig, creamy cashew milk, almond milk, and vegan ube halaya. They are also serving up other plant-based dishes such as Kaldereta made of mock pork, Bicol Express from yuba skin and tofu, Goto Congee made of yuba and tremella mushroom (mock tripe), Pancit Palabok out of tofu and yuba topped with vegan chicharon, Ukoy Fritters that are deep-fried battered potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, mung bean sprouts, and tofu, and Ensaladang Langka made of green jackfruit, tomatoes, red onions, green chilies, coconut milk, and vinegar. Apart from the vegan-friendly selection, get to savor dishes from East to West, and elevated Filipino cuisine.

To add to the excitement is a 50% Off on Vegan Ala Carte offers available for both In-room Dining and S Kitchen Ala Carte to celebrate Green Thursday. Promo runs from January 4 to February 28, 2021.  

S Kitchen is open daily for breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Regular lunch and dinner buffet on weekdays is at P2,200 nett and weekends at P2,450 nett.
