Sinful Sinigang na Bagnet Recipe

Related to the Malaysian dish singgang, Sinigang is one the most popular and all-time Pinoy favorite viand. In fact, if you were to ask almost any Pinoy what to serve to a foreigner friend, this delicious dish always come to mind. Its sour and savory taste makes it perfect to pair with a bowl of rice.

There are also tons of variations for this famous dish. There is always the classic Pork Sinigang but if you love fusion like we do, you will also appreciate its other versions like Watermelon Sinigang, Shrimp Sinigang, Bangus Sinigang, Salmon Belly Sinigang and many more.

In this recipe video though, you will get to see and try for yourself our very own version of Sinigang na Bagnet.

Ingredients:
 1 kg Bagnet
 4 tomatoes
 1 onion
 5 okra
 1 radish
 3 green chili
 6 green beans
 2 eggplant
 1 water spinach (kangkong)
 ½ tsp ground pepper
 3 tbsp salt
 2 tbsp fishsauce
 44 g sinigang mix

Directions:
1

Slice the tomatoes into even slices.

Slice the onions into small pieces.

Slice each okra into two pieces.

Peel the radish and slice into medium thick slices.

Remove by slicing the head of the green chilis.

Slice the green beans into even pieces and into once inch long per piece.

Slice the eggplants into medium thick slices.

Cut and prep the Water Spinach (Kangkong) leaves.

Slice the Bagnet into medium thick slices.

Boil the radish, tomatoes and onions for 10 minutes.

Add Bagnet and let it boil again for another 15 minutes.

Add ground pepper, followed by the salt and then the fish sauce.

Add the Sinigang Mix and stir.

Add the eggplants, okra, green beans, green chilis, and water spinach.

Then, let it boil again for another 10 minutes and then stir.

Serve in a bowl and enjoy!
