However, since you are already here, let us talk about Sinigang na Salmon Belly which we usually cook when we want more to be wrapped not only with warmth and comfort, but also with the feeling of lush since let’s be honest, Salmon is not that cheap.
With that, Sinigang na Salmon Belly is a well-loved Filipino dish as this uses fatty salmon cuts such as belly, collar, and fins that are all cooked with fresh vegetables like eggplants, tomatoes, and okras in a rich and flavorful broth with sweet, sour, and savory notes.

Slice the onions, tomatoes, ginger, okra, string beans, radish, eggplant, and mustard greens.
Suate ginger in a large pot. Then follow that with garlic, onion, and tomatoes. Saute altogether.
Add miso paste. Continue sauteing.
Add fish sauce. Saute again.
Add water. Mix until miso paste is diluted. Cover the pot with its lid, and then bring it to a boil.
Add radish, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir.
Add tamarind mix. Stir again.
Add okra, string beans, eggplant, mustard greens, and chilis. Stir a bit.
Add salmon belly. Cover the pot with its lid and let it cook for a while.
Transfer the Sinigang na Salmon Belly into a serving bowl. Enjoy!
