Passion can really drive us a long way, most of the times to exciting and mouthwatering destinations. Co-owners Josh Albelda and Alysa Salen were driven by their shared love for good food and Josh’s enthusiasm with cars to start the Burger Garage, a unique and must-see burger joint in Makati.

The inventive garage concept of this joint is what sets it miles apart from your average burger place. It would be impossible not to take several photos of this Instagram-worthy place, from the tables, wall decals to the counter, which is made out of a Mercedes Benz W 115 1964 hood, to the name of the dishes on the menu, even to the way they serve their food (you are given a toolbox where the utensils are kept, and their iced tea is served in gasoline everything stays true to the car garage theme.

Josh and Alyssa are burger lovers themselves, so to assure that they only serve the burger that they themselves would love, they make certain that the burgers they serve are made from the finest quality ingredients are always freshly prepared every day. This is why it is not surprising that we are instantly hooked with our first bite of their juicy and mouth-watering burger meals.

They have four creatively named burger meals that you can choose from, varying only with the number of patties that would best satisfy your hunger. They have the single patty burger, One Way, the two-patty burger, Bumper-2-Bumper, PedesTHREEan, is a three-patty burger and the 4×4 Off Road is packed with four juicy patties. You could also choose to personalize your burger experience by adding on more ingredients like egg, bacon, pickles, mushroom, jalapeno and mozzarella.

All you sausage lovers don’t need to despair because Burger Garage also has a variety of sausage sandwiches on their menu. They have Stock, Hungarian sausage topped with Scrambled Egg, Sedan, our plain old favorite Hungarian Sausage with cheese, Crossover, Hungarian Sausage with bacon, mushroom and cheese, and SUV sausage Hungarian sausage with jalapeno and chili corn carne.

You should not miss out on their Side Mirrors Menu, which you can order in addition to your burger or sausage meal. We definitely couldn’t get enough of their deep fried spam, Spam Fries, their tasty take on our favorite canned meat. They also have S’mores, which you could never go wrong with, it’s a perfect sweet chase to the meaty flavors of the burger.
