Taal Vista Hotel has surely made a name for themselves for being able to weather through the times and also provide quality service in the hospitality industry. Other than that, they have definitely garnered a great number of patrons for their food and drinks offerings.

Speaking of, one of their food outlets that we no doubt fell in love with is none other than their Taza Fresh Table which guarantees their diners a luscious meal that is not only delicious, but is also oozing with freshness. They also use fresh produce from their own garden, providing customers a farm-to-table experience.

With that, we first got to try their Taza Salad (Php 395) which is refreshing to start with. This is a homey bowl of quinoa, cherry tomatoes, wild arugula, farm-fresh romaine, microgreens, Cebu dried mangoes, radish, beets, a la minute, and tarragon-white wine vinaigrette.

Next we had soup and flatbread from their selection. Their Mushroom Soup (Php 400) is a hearty bowl of trio Tagaytay mushrooms: oyster, shiitake, and button; while their Four Cheese Flatbread (Php 460) is a delectable serving of bread with tomato sauce, Laguna kesong puti, pato quezo de bola, Laguna mozzarella, homemade ricotta, and olive oil.

After that, we proceeded to slurp on two of their pastas. First was their Fettuccine Carbonara (Php 500) which is made with homemade fresh pancetta, garlic, and eggs; then next was their Prawns and Squid Ink Pasta (Php 650) which is a plate of prawns and squid, homemade pasta, cherry tomatoes, basil, and herbed bread crumbs.

And of course, we also called dibs on their dishes starring poultry and meat. Their Pan Seared Chicken (Php 760) is actually part of their special menu and is available upon request, especially when kids want fried chicken; while their Tomahawk Pork Chop (Php 1200) is an exquisite plate of tender pork chop with caramelized onions and bananas, salsa verde, and pork jus.

Those two had us craving for more meat, so we also reached for their Hanger Steak (250 grams Php 995) which is grilled and is just downright exquisite. This comes with sides of crispy marble potatoes, haricot verts, and bordelaise truffle sauce.

We paired all those with a few of Taza Fresh Table’s revitalizing beverages. Their Green Mango Shake, Iced Cafe Mocha, and Mint Tea Lemonade are thirst quenchers that energize us in every sip.

Then, of course, to end all that on a sweet note, we also grabbed not one, but two of their desserts! We had both their Molten Chocolate Cake (Php 360) with alfonso tablea chocolate and pato queso de bola ice cream, and their Olive Oil Gelato (Php 320) with Don Papa rum glazed and Tagaytay pineapple.

Taza Fresh Table of Taal Vista Hotel wasn’t really kidding when they said they are all about bringing freshness to the table! We loved each and every single dish that we got to have with them.
