Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters: A Cup of Joe and More

I have been a coffee drinker for the longest time. I honestly can’t remember when I started it and I wouldn’t last a day without it. So when we got the invite from Toby’s Estate, I was simply over the moon.

Toby’s Estate is a specialty coffee roaster and retailer that originated from Woolloomooloo, Sydney, Australia. The chain’s flagship cafe and roastery opened in 1998 with the vision of bringing high quality and sustainably sourced coffee to Australian drinkers. The roastery and cafe became known for the best coffee in Sydney and became the leader in the industry.

Toby’s was brought to the Philippines by Rebel Alliance Food Supply Inc.  It was formed by four friends who are passionate about the specialty coffee movement. They wanted to share their common passion to the Filipinos, thus bringing the Australian brand in the country.

Recently, Toby’s just released two new Single Origins for Filipinos to try and be familiar with.  But before we go into that, we had the chance to try their best seller Costa Rica El Jaguar Single Origin coffee and some of their great dishes first.

Every sip of the Costa Rica El Jaguar brings out its chocolate & caramel notes with a velvety smooth long finish giving it a fully-rounded & balanced cup. It possesses a complex and intense acidity with citric sweet notes. Full-flavored cup with notes of fruitiness, prune sugar cane, chocolate and caramel.
