Turn your Wonderland dreams into a reality with Bluewater Panglao’s Afternoon Tea Time

Growing up, I have always loved the story of Alice in Wonderland. That girl really went into an adventure, into something that is not at all familiar to her, experience a whole lot of weird stuff, met uber interesting people and creatures, and absolutely had a great time still! As a young girl, I have always wanted to experience a lot of things, to be brave enough to actually do things even though I am afraid, and meet a lot of people and make wonderful connections with them that I could bring to where I am now and where I will soon be heading. With a lot of that, let’s say I am in that path, too, so really I have no complains.

Anyway, I gave you that introduction, because I was reminded of my childhood fantasies the moment I saw how Afternoon Tea Time at Bluewater Panglao has been set up. Really, I was like thrown into the depth of my young brain that I did not even want it to end. Tea time in Alice in Wonderland has really left an impact on me that I even had a toy tea set when I was a child which I think, just as I am typing this, is the reason why I really enjoy having a cup of tea – because it reminds me of my carefree childhood, besides the fact that it soothes me.

And so hearing about Bluewater Panglao offering Afternoon Tea by the Garden for their VIP and Media guests really had me excited and actually being able to try it made me so happy and giddy. The set up really was just beautiful! They have prepared two set ups for us – one is the usual which was more of a picnic style set-up with cushion stools and throw pillows while the other one was more of the Alice-in-Wonderland set up, so you bet I picked the latter to try out!

It was undeniably perfect for me and for my Alice-in-Wonderland heart. This Afternoon Tea by Bluewater Panglao comes with a set of 12 homemade savories and pastries that I really loved munching while sipping my tea.

If you are curious what those savories and pastries were, don’t get your knickers in a twist because I am going to tell you all of it – Cheesy Torta Bisaya, Chicken Adobo Pandesal, Minty Caprese Slider, Ube Tart, Kalamay Macaroons, Tuna finger Sandwich, Sesame Banana Fritters. And if you’re going to ask me what my favourite was, then let me correct you because I got favourites – plural, yes! The Ube Tart as well as the Kalamay Macaroons were my ultimate lovies, I tell you, so if you ever get the chance to try Afternoon Tea here at Bluewater Panglao, make sure to be able to try those two.

Meanwhile, for the teas, they are offering Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Gray Tea, as well as Mint Tea. However, if you are more of a coffee person, don’t worry, because you could actually choose whether you will go for tea or coffee.

If it isn’t obvious yet, I really adored this Afternoon Tea by Bluewater Panglao. They even set up a music booth for us so we could enjoy our tea and yummies with wonderful tunes and also they have given us our own butler and waiter for this. If it’s raining, though, of course, you would not be able to enjoy this in the garden, so they could just set this up in your villa’s balcony.

  1. Wow, that’s one of the nicest teas I’ve ever seen. Lucky you having that available. The set up is gorgeous. Even though I’m an indoor cat I would brave sitting out for it.
