Before 2022 ended, Philippines Airlines invited us to take a flight of flavors with their new in-flight menu. We were first given refreshments as Philippine Airlines Executives gave us a walk-through of the event. They also gave us a warm welcome while they explained how Philippine Airlines Business Class passengers flying to and from North America are in for a sumptuous gastronomic experience starting November last year as that is when they have started rolling out the elevation of their in-flight experience.

Philippine Airlines collaborated with the wonderful Chef Tina Legarda to showcase Filipino cuisine to the global market as their newly elevated in-flight menu will be served during non-stop flights from Manila to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Honolulu, Vancouver, and Toronto. Chef Tina Legarda is the amazing owner of Bamba Bistro which is undeniably an adored restaurant serving gourmet comfort food in the South for almost a decade already. Her dishes are focused on heirloom home cooked meals that not only reflect her Filipino and Spanish roots, but also wrap her diners in delicious nostalgia. Aside from her family being an inspiration to her cooking, Chef Tina Legarda’s kitchen skills are also unmatched as she had extensive professional training in Italian, French, and Asian cooking under well-loved and celebrated culinary experts both locally and abroad.

Truly, this collaboration between Philippine Airlines and Chef Tina Legarda is something to look forward to. Philippine Airlines Business Class passengers can now indulge in a 10-course in-flight menu that highlights Chef Tina Legarda’s talent in playing with familiar flavors while also being able to create new ways to delight palates. This 10-course in-flight menu includes Amuse bouche, The Filly, Maria’s Toast, Kalabasa Soup, and Luzviminda Salad. It also includes enticing and drool-worthy main courses such as Crab Mie Goreng, Breakfast Burrito, Pan-fried Snapper, Nasi ng Bayan, and Beef Short Ribs; and ends with a sweet kiss of Banana Budino Trifle.

There is no denying that Philippines Airlines Business Class passengers are in for more than just a treat because of Chef Tina Legarda! Believe it or not, this collaboration is just a part of the many developments and innovations that Philippine Airlines has up on their sleeves, so you better be on the lookout.
