Why We Love Jollibee’s Strawberry Choco Sundae

Over the years, Jollibee has come up with some of the most loved food pairings Filipinos are now accustomed to. Some of them include Chickenjoy with Palabok, Pineapples in burgers in their Amazing Aloha and more recently, the sweet and salty Strawberry Fries. Now, Jollibee has come up with yet another wonderful pairing: strawberry and chocolate. And these flavors mesh perfectly in one of our favorite food to eat: ice cream. Enter, the new Strawberry Choco Sundae.

The all-new Strawberry Choco Sundae is the first innovative product launched by Jollibee for the year 2018. Officially released in stores last January 15, this quirky take on their well loved Sundaes has been a favorite by kids, and kids-at-heart alike in the country.

The sundae is composed of Jollibee’s classic vanilla soft serve ice cream, topped with a decadent chocolate fudge and laced with their delectable strawberry syrup. To make it even more indulgent, they added a crunchy chocolate coating and finished with wonderful chunks of chewy chocolate brownies. The best part is this filling cup is all yours for the unbelievably low price of PHP 39!

Personally, I absolutely loved it because of all the nostalgia and true joy that simple cup brings. The tanginess of the strawberry syrup with the chocolate fudge gave it so much body and contrast in flavor. The crunchy top was complemented really well by the soft pieces of brownies, and all these sweet ingredients are balanced out by the simple flavor of Jollibee’s vanilla creme. I am nothing but impressed by how they came up with this new dessert, and the truly affordable price tag will keep me coming back for more.

I am thrilled for Jollibee as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary this year, and we can only expect more exciting products throughout 2018. Indeed, this well loved brand continues to wow their patrons, keeping them asking for “isa pa, isa pa!” And truly, “Bida and Saya!”
