Winner Winner Bilao Dinner: Here’s what went down at our dinner with Bluewater Panglao’s Aplaya Restaurant & Bar

Making the most out of a day really is a lot of work, but also very fulfilling, so as the end of the day drew near and as the moon greeted us hello, we went back to Aplaya Restaurant & Bar of Bluewater Panglao to not only end it with a bang, but also fill our tummies with more goodies. Aplaya Restaurant & Bar really is spacious, there’s just no denying that. This one is really great for events, plus the beach is like a heavenly work of art that couples even get to have their beach wedding with them.

That being said, as it is our first and last night with Bluewater Panglao, because we only got to stay with them for two days and a night, we opted to go for their bilao spread, the Kusina Filipina (Php 3500). This bilao-style offering of Aplaya Restaurant & Bar is good for 4 to 6 people as it is loaded with different yummies from the sea like sinugbang isda, sinugbang manok, sinugbang nukos, sinugbang hipon, sinugbang tiyan ng baboy, ribs, ensaladang talong at mangga, pancit canton, visayan grill with onion and tomato salsa. This one is also served with steamed rice and native bbq sauce, so there is no way we are going to bed hungry, right?

Not only did Aplaya Restaurant & Bar made sure we get to have the best for our last night with them, but also they even served us their Pork Sinigang which really gave us that sour punch, making our faces go asimkilig in every spoonful! Truly, it was oh-so-yummy and the pork chunks were tender, too.

We also got the chance to try their beautifully plated Bistek Tagalog (Php 531). It was like a tower of sauteed beef steak marinated in soy sauce and calamnsi served with onion rings and of course, steamed white rice. It’s saucy and savory with just the right hint of sweetness.

Speaking of sweetness, the sweet kiss given to us by Apalaya Restaurant & Bar was none other than their Puyoug Sikwate (Php 270) which actually is native fave and now ours, too! This one is a serving of sticky rice served with Bohol tableya hot chocolate and mango – such yum!

And to really, lull us to our sleep, they served us a few of their delectable and colourful concoctions like the Purple Sky Mojito which is vodka-based with mint leaves, calamnasi lime juice, sprite, and blue turnip; the Red Rueben which is flavored margarita with tequila, watermelon syrup, and lime juice; as well as the Sunset Session which is of pineapple, orange juice, gin bombaso, and fire gin. What a way to end the day, right? Aplaya Restaurant & Bar of Bluewater Panglao really made one heck of a memorable day and night for us and we are just so grateful!
