On our last day at Iloilo, we decided to check La Paz Market as there is no denying that many batchoy houses have started their journey there and still are keeping their humble stores open and serving that trademark dish of Iloilo like it was their first day. Much like what we expected, we found what may be one of the famous batchoy houses here in Iloilo, Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy.

Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy have kept their simple and humble abode, accentuated by huge mirrors making the place even more spacious than it already. The lights have also helped in keeping the place neat to the eyes as well as the vibe of a homey carenderia.

With that warmth enveloping us, we headed for one of their clean tables wherein they have placed some condiments on top like soy sauce and pepper which you can use to customize your order to your preferred taste.

Their menu is uncomplicated as it can be, only consisting of different sizes of their specialty delicacy which is no other than La Paz Batchoy, alongside softdrinks, puto, bread, and mineral water.

That being said, we decided to order three different sizes of La Paz Batchoy which we found out have the same toppings as well. The Special La Paz Batchoy (Php 80) will have anyone craving for batchoy satisfied while the Super La Paz Batchoy (Php 90) will make your tummy fuller than you thought it would be.

And to really have a filling batchoy experience, the Extra La Paz Batchoy (Php 100) is really living up to its name, being this one the biggest size you can avail here at Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy. You can also choose your noodles whether you want your batchoy to come with Bihon (Php 5) noodles or Sotanghon (Php 10) noodles which we went for for our Extra La Paz Batchoy bowl.

What we loved with Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy is how flavorful its broth is. With its hot temp, the taste is even more emphasized in every delicious slurp we did, and so, there is no surprise that we totally enjoyed out batchoy experience here.

Of course, to end this dining adventure with Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy, we got ourselves some delectable Puto (Php 14) which has a lovely texture along a sumptuous taste in every mouthful, making us get some more for takeout.

After this simple yet awesome dining experience here, we totally get how personalities travel all the way to Iloilo just to get their batchoy cravings fixed by Deco’s Original La Paz Batchoy, so we hope you get to slurp this yumyum as well!
