Start your tasty Philippine adventure with dishes from the Central Philippines with Ilonggo Food Company

With the owners of Ilonggo Food Company being Ilonggo themselves, the dishes they are serving highlight the specialties from their home region in the Central Philippines, alongside some other dishes that are incorporated from other Philippine regions for them to be able to give the best of Filipino cuisine.

Ilonggo Food Company warmly extended their open arms just last year with a gorgeous, rustic industrial interior – even having a round table that is from one of the owners’ childhood home – and an improved menu offering, revamped from plating, to serving size, to selling price, and of course to taste.

Start with a few light and refreshing healthy dishes of theirs. The Green Mango Salad (Php 250) has green mango, grilled eggplant with red eggs and romaine lettuce tossed in a ginamos dressing, while the Porbidang Kangkong (Php 195) is a dish that is of spicy coconut milk and water spinach stew.

Follow those up with Pancit Canton (Php 250) which is of an egg noodle dish with Chinese sausage, shrimp, and vegetables in oyster sauce, Pork Sisig (Php 220) which is a famous Pinoy dish from Pampangga made of pork jowls and ears which is boiled, grilled, and served on a sizzling plate, and Crispy Pata (Php 720) which is a yummy serving of pork knuckles simmered in a special broth for tenderness and deep fried for the crispy skin crackling.

For some meaty dishes, you better not miss out on their Ginamos nga Manok (Php 295) which is a delectable order of half chicken marinated overnight in a special ginamos and spice mix then roasted in the charcoal oven, and served with a ginamos rice. Another is their Bicol Express (Php 300), a dish from the Bicol region. Ilonggo Food Company’s version is made from pork belly simmered in spicy coconut cream and flavored with Ginamos, truly a must-try!

Next to those is their Kansi (Php 385) which has fall off the bone braised beef shank in batuan broth, and served with the marrow. This one is easy on the palate, but hearty on the tummy, surely will make you say, “Extra rice please!”. Other dishes that would make you reach for more rice is their Crispy Kare-Kare (Php 495) which is a serving of crispy pork knuckles served in Kare-Karen sauce, poached pechay, and banana hearts, and served with bagoong; and their Evelyn’s Sinigang (Php 390) which is a recipe of one of the owners’ mom that comes with watermelon and batwan flavored soup served with radish slices and sili leaves.

Meanwhile, their Batchoy (Php 240) is definitely a crowd favorite as this one is a noodle soup from the La Paz district in Iloilo. Ilonggo Food Company’s version is of miki noodle soup topped with beef, pork, liver, chicharon, and green onions. With everything being filling and yummy, of course, you also have got to try their KBL (Wjole Php 995 | Ala Carte Php 375), also known as Kajus, Baboy, Langka, which is an iconic Ilonggo dish of pork knuckles simmered in Batuan broth with pigeon peas and young jackfruit.

Ilonggo Food Company truly is a delight perfect for the Filipino palate. Not only do they have have Pinoy dishes for their diners, but also they have a bunch of drinks that are absolutely great, such as their Espresso (Single Shot Php 105 | Double Shot Php 120) which comes with free Napoleones as they have their own commissary wherein they make all their breads and pastries!

This Ilonggo restaurant may have just started last year, but they have surely caught the hearts of many already, especially with their promo of Snack Special which runs from 2PM to 5PM wherein merienda – Pancit Canton, Arroz Caldo, Batchoy, and Molo Soup – is served with their delicious pandesyosa, so better invite your fambam and trusty pals for you to catch up and enjoy your snacks altogether.

Plus, Ilonggo Food Company has a delectable highlight offering on weekend which they call Ilonggo Fight Club wherein you can feast on the best that Ilonggo cuisine can offer in a boodle like no other. Choose whether you want seafood, all-meat, or a combination of both!

Ilonggo Food Company has still so much to offer, just like their oh-so-yummy chicken Inasal, and you can also book your event with them, so watch out for what they have yet to launch and release as they are even planning for opening another branch soon.
