It’s time you have a coastal escape at Pico Sands Hotel

Our itinerary for our Pico Sands Hotel staycation was undeniably packed, but then again, the weather was just not with us those days, so we were not really able to do a lot of our supposed activities. As much as that was the case, though, Pico Sands Hotel still made our staycation fun and memorable!

Pico Sands Hotel

For our first day, Pico Sands Hotel warmly welcomed us with refreshing drinks on their viewing deck wherein we really got to take in the picturesque scene in front of us. Then they led us to our lovely rooms which had everything we needed. Our rooms were absolutely a dream—they were spacious, comfortable, cozy, and even had a beautiful view!

Once we got to freshen up and rest for a bit, Pico Sands Hotel invited us to have lunch in the grassy area of their beach. Here we got to dig into a luscious spread of reinvented Filipino classics from their in-house restaurant, Lagoa. This lunch was like a leveled up version of a picnic, as instead of sitting on the grass, Pico Sands Hotel really took the time to prepare a gorgeous set-up of tables and chairs.

After that, we got to tour around their Mangrove Farm wherein we got to ride boats, explore, and learn how significant mangroves actually are in our ecosystem. They are a habitat of a lot of fish and other aquatic creatures, after all!

From there we were supposed to have our Sunset Cruise, but this was postponed since the waves were huge and it was dangerous for us to push through, so Pico Sands Hotel instead pointed us to their Activity Center. Here we got to have so much fun since we got to play bowling, billiards, and even darts. They also served us a few charcuterie boards filled with cheeses, cold cuts, and some sweet treats, alongside glasses of wine and healthy juices.

For dinner, instead of having it by the beach in a dome, we had it in their Reef Bar which was still by the beach, actually. Here we got to love up a lot of Mexican goodies that were absolutely tasty and filling! Truly, we ended our first day with Pico Sands Hotel on a wonderful note.

On our second day, Mr. Sun greeted us good morning at Pico Sands Hotel’s White Cabana Beach Club. Here we got to indulge in a breakfast feast of Filipino and Western flavors, as well as Pico Sands Hotel’s signature Banana Bread, Malunggay Pandesal, and Ensaymada Bites. Our breakfast was undeniably splendid, especially because we got to swim in the ocean and play beach volleyball.

Next we were supposed to go to Santelmo Cove which we heard was just majestic, but just like the first day, it was also raining on our second day, so instead of having a boodle fight in Santelmo Cove, we had it in Sun Coral Cafe then. Sun Coral Cafe is an exclusive members-only area, just like the White Cabana Beach Club, of Pico De Loro Country Club, and we were just fortunate enough to have been given access. Our boodle fight at the al fresco area of Sun Coral Cafe was absolutely satisfying since we got to gobble down on some fresh seafood!

After having our lunch, some of us decided to rest and relax in their rooms while others decided to go to Pico Sands Hotel’s Sports Center and play badminton instead. A few of us also got a pampering session as they availed Pico Sands Hotel’s massage services.

To end our second day, Pico Sands Hotel prepared our dinner at Pico Restaurant & Bar. Here we got to enjoy plate after plate of sumptuous dishes such as Azurea Garden Salad, Pasta Verde Moringa, and Bulalosso. We also got to call dibs on their new dish, their Herb Batangas Beef Steak, and Choc Nut Tiramisu, which was a crowd favorite dessert.

For our third and last day, we got to fuel up at Pico Restaurant & Bar as this is where they serve their breakfast buffet at. Here we got to choose from a variety of breakfast options such as salads, cereals, breads and pastries, and of course, a number of delicious viands plus rice! All this we got to have since we know we are going to need some energy on our drive back to Manila.

Our stay at Pico Sands Hotel may have not turned out the way we planned it to, but still, we honestly enjoyed it. We are absolutely also grateful because Pico Sands Hotel made sure that we were having fun and are enjoying ourselves, and are overall, well taken care of.
